I have tried twice to grow ginger from nodules that sprouted off ginger root I bought to cook with. Both times the nodule just rotted. Do I need to order specifically from a seed catalog to get a good start. Would really like to grow some at home. Tumeric, too. Yours looks great.

We are in zone 4 here on the other side of the state — cooler winters but also warmer summers. Wonder If ginger and turmeric would grow here? Can't wait for next year!
