VIDEO: How to Propagate Peperomia: 2 Easy Methods

The humble peperomia plant is easy to grow and even easier to propagate! In this peperomia care video we’ll walk through how to propagate peperomia from start to finish, using two methods: stem-tip cuttings and leaf-petiole cuttings.

If you want fast success and easy rooting, go with a stem tip cutting. This method works for all varieties: peperomia obtusifolia, peperomia prostrata, peperomia caperata, etc. It’s an easy way to buy one plant and multiply it!

  1. I planted leaves of a ficus elastica, and it's not producing any more leaves or buds, although it has huge roots.

It's been like four months… Will it ever produce anything or just stay as one leaf?

  2. Any information on senecio ballyi propagating? I have this very leggy plant with the most beautiful leaves but I have found little information on it anywhere. Took me over a year to figure out what it was by contacting the grower.

  3. the problem with leaf propagation of variegated peperomia obtusifolia is that the babies do not come up in vatiegated version… that happened with me… but a good thing is with leaf propagation you can get more than one baby plant… more than even 4 new baby plants if you wish to separate!

  4. I love your channel but I felt that this video was misleading.
Not everyone has a propagation apparatus just laying around so the mention of it in your title would have bee helpful. The thumbnail made it seem as though you were propagating in a simple pot.

  5. I know this is old but thanks for this! Its very helpful. Also I would love to know if you made your potting station or bought it like that? I'm guessing you made it! It's so clever! Whenever I pot up my plants I make a mess & so much soil is wasted. I will have to make something like this!

  6. I honestly never thought of propagating my peperomia but 2 of the leaves fell off and when I was moving the pot I noticed they were laying in the soil facing up with roots growing upwards lol so it's really that easy!
