When you garden in a way contrary to whats “normal” you will get naysayers and doubters who tell you it won’t work. They will tell you to just plow the soil and do it how people have been doing for the last 50 years, they will tell you wood chips will acidify your soil, and they will pull all the joy out of growing food. Don’t let that happen be one of the gardeners standing in the gap growing food as naturally and sustainably as possible.

Working my way towards just this. It is my dream that hasn't yet come to fruition. I currently have a small backyard container garden but grow enough to share with neighbours and friends.This video has inspired me so much to really get going on making my dream of having a small holding a reality

I am starting one on public land that I live on. I have been living on it for almost 2 months. Down here in Miami there are chickens everywhere. So I am going to go get some. I am going to rase rabbits here. I hope they don't say anything about it. I. Going to feed the other homeless people like me.
