This is about the simplest grow box design I've seen so far. I am still not sure where I can fit a grow box let alone mount grow lights. I'll have to see what space I have to work with when the landlord gets finished with the remodel. Thanks for sharing this video.

I've been growing indoors for a month now. Just ordered some Mylar emergency blankets after seeing this video 😉 No point "wasting" the light. good tip, and cheap fix.

I started rooting herbs over the winter and bought those bar/clip lights to supplement their light needs (north facing patio window) and getting decent results. They are keeping my pepper plants alive (indoors) … and my tomato seedlings are doing shockingly well for this kick start method. I am going to set up some more clip/bar lights "outside" in my corner greenhouse to keep my parsley and mint alive. Thank you for your past videos on how to root cuttings. I am pleasantly surprised by my success… thanks to your videos.

We live in a more moderate climate–Central Coast California, USA–and have never experienced using artificial light for gardening. Even my African Violets, and Orchids (Here orchids can be planted outside), I just have them near a southwest-facing window and keep the blinds mostly closed for the indirect sunlight. To get the orchids to bloom I put them in a north-facing window for a few months during the winter. But I'm handicapped now and can't venture out as much as I would like, so I need to start some things inside so I can watch over them more. So I have a question regarding this set up for sprouting/growing. Do you leave the light on day and night or give the seeds/plants a break to mimic the darkness at night and then turn on the light early in the morning?
Thank you for being straight forward and clear with the explanation.
Thanks for the clear explanation! Would you mind sharing what details on light bulbs you used towards the end are? Where can a fellow Canadian buy them?
Instead of the plastic as a window, I’d put another Mylar underneath the plastic or even glued to it, as the window to reflect more of that light
Great video. Thanks for sharing.
You kept it nice and simple, thank you! I’m ready for making my grow chamber and I’m no carpenter! I appreciate how you even included the lighting error – that is so me! Pity my husband won’t let me have a nail gun…handy bit of kit! Cheers from the north of England xxx
Can I use Tinfoil instead
I want to make one for my "tomatoes" !!!
