  1. I have a question for you, Jess. Is that felted wool around your jar in the video? I know that is off topic, but it looks like an amazing idea that I've never seen before. Thank you so much for your videos!!

  2. This was a really, really good video…maybe one of the best I've seen for people wanting to start a channel. We have an idea for a channel but we are in our 60's and I'm afraid we won't be "pleasant to look at", and that would keep us from getting enough views, but this was inspiring. Thanks for sharing!

  3. heya, again a very nice vlog. my nikon D3200 dslr broke about 2 weeks ago. doing some research for new camera and saw your Vlog very help ful,l thanks for that, have some consideration to do about my tunnel seeing vision about thinking what I realy need

  4. Well, I guess I didn’t look hard enough Jess, before I emailed you about your camera set up! Sorry! Thanks the camera advice, but thanks more for the push on this video to just start! With what you already have! You too Morgan!

  5. Thank you for the notes. Yes I am looking to upgrade from a cell phone even though I have had amazing garden shots with my phone. But I am looking at gopro too. What edit software do you use?

  6. I literally have been making videos and aspiring as a host for 20 years and my biggest holdback has always been a mindset of not having high quality gear.
Appreciate this video and I’m not letting it hold me back anymore…uploading my first video today!

  7. Wait what?!? You went to UT? Cool!!!
Curious what years you were there. I practically lived in the Art & Architecture building for 4 years while getting my architecture degree.

Saw this video and was just curious how you get such great quality videos. I dont ever plan to you tube or vlog for the public but curious for documenting my parents garden for them.

  8. We uploaded our first vlog 2 days ago using a Samsung iPad and future videos will be with Samsung Galaxy phones just to get started and going. So Thank You Jess for the added info. We enjoy your channel and will mention you. Come find us at Basic Roots Homestead

  9. I've been watching the homesteaders sites, and you're my favorite. You're so real, and down to earth, and Miah's funny antics are so refreshing in compassion to the stuffed shirts out there. I love you kids, just keep doing what you're doing, staying as sweet as you are to each other… Also continue to be the loving couple, never be concerned about that the jealous people say. I've been married to the same guy for 53 years, and we never cared what people say about how we live our lives, don't let other dictate how you act towards eachother..
