I understand, my January and February in the NW are tough for me~too many gray days in a row. Looking forward to Spring and sunshine! Blessings, keep looking up!
Fun video. 🙂 I am wondering where you got that beautiful butterfly wall hanging?
Wow <<< You actually get quite a bit of mud there ,,,, I wanted a perfectly flat farm, but now I'm actually glad to have a slight slant, because it really rains hard here right now too . Zone 7a.
Just watched a vlog on using grow lights in a greenhouse. These grow lights are only $39 and do not hav to be right over your plants. They are 60 wt bulbs equivalent and screw right into a regular light socket.
Just thought you might like to take a look at this…… Deep South Homestead……Do grow lights work in a greenhouse………vlog.
Living traditions Homestead has their new cow Hope. Kevin was so excited for the homemade ice cream.
Anything that is easy to grow I seem to kill off. Anything that is considered really difficult to grow, I seem to be able to grow them easily.
Needed the reminder of the grey time. Boy it HAS been just gloomy.
yes! I've been shouting that case from the hilltops for a couple of years. 🙂 I got mine on Amazon and probably need to get a second one. It's so perfect!
Maybe start a cut flower garden
Your moms house plant is as old as me…
February is my “January” spring is still a few months off and I have the itch to get started, but it is still -20C or much colder. At least we tend to get a lot of sunshine year round here. That helps.
My mom has some of those Neanthebella Palms and they have lasted for years in a dark corner of the living room.
Love It! I am trying so hard to appreciate this down time… Not easy!
This is great resource for math tutorials:https://www.khanacademy.org/
your internet issues will be fixed soon. starlink should be up within the next couple months.
Pot plants for me are just as bad. But I grew pepper plant seeds this year. I want to grow them indoors. So I started with many I now have two left. Hopefully they continue. I love to watch your farm programme. It's easy to grow a seed watch it develop then the real battle begins when you have to keep it alive . You know you have won when theres a harvest. Thank you for inspiring me to garden I do this with plant pots . God bless you.
Maranta (prayer plant) plants need regular misting. They love, love, LOVE humidity and I live in the south where it’s humid all the time and thought it’d be fine in the house without misting. Nope. Lol I started misting and it’s doing better now!
Love the talk and walkabout with the boys,, the young minds are awesome !! Need to give the underweight goat plenty of "cow" ice cream,,will put that weight on in no time….lol..
Your "usual" video's of the lifestyle seems so overwhelmingly busy,,that the calmer winter grey days are a needed break….but I'm sure that you fill in the time with plenty of other projects….Always watching for what's to come………..Stay Safe and God Bless……
We LOVE our plasma cars! got some a few years ago and we've had tons of fun. lol…. we've all ridden them through the house racing around 😉
My mom was the same with a jungle of lush house plants and I dont do so well with them but I have great flower and vegetable gardens! Fun history on an Angel Leaf Begonia I have. I had it originally in the early 1970's. I moved and gave it to my mom. She had it until she passed in 2012. My sister took it. She gave cuttings to a friend. My sister's plant died. I came to visit and got cuttings from her friend and have since given many cuttings away and have several plants from those first cuttings. All from a plant from the early 1970's!
Jess, you should use Unicorn spit on that concrete floor.
Hey, I noticed you had an oil diffuser. Just thought I'd let you know since I've had problems with these. My dog had seizures from one of the oils, probably mint, but she's stopped having them since we stopped using our diffuser. Apparently they can be quite toxic to dogs.
