Self Sufficient Me is based on our small 3-acre property/homestead in SE Queensland Australia about 45kms north of Brisbane – the climate is subtropical (similar to Florida). I started Self Sufficient Me in 2011 as a blog website project where I document and write about backyard food growing, self-sufficiency, and urban farming in general. I love sharing my foodie and DIY adventures online so come along with me and let’s get into it! Cheers, Mark 🙂

  1. Passionfruit gets huge though, so they will still drape on the ground and be searching for nearby trees. I am not sure how big your harvest would be on such a small area.

  2. Mark do you know that they make reusable zip ties? They have a release on them and can be used over and over.

I use them to hold my deer and dog netting to the 8’ long stakes around my garden.

I’ve been using the same zip ties for 4 years now.

  3. Mate you are an inspiration thanks for all your videos I live in brissy in a building but I am inspired to grow even in a small place keep these videos coming, we all need to recycle ♻
