In this video you say the 2 inch cells in the flat is enough time, but in the other video about mistakes gardners make when starting seeds indoors, you said 2 inches wasn't enough space and that you preferred 3 inch pots for seedlings to have space to grow indoors. Which one is it? I'm at the point of purchasing my supplies and want to make sure I don't buy the wrong thing.
Wait, so T5's aren't good for growing vegetables indoors? They are highly used in the other crop I grow, just curious. Thanks!
Amazon light all by itself is $60. I don’t think it’s worth it anymore with all the other options company must have gotten a big head!
those grow lights are no longer available! do you have another recommendation?
Love this guy!
Luke- Happy New Year! I received most of the kit for my Birthday! Was wondering where you purchased the beige drip try that is under the flat? Thank you!
That grow light alone is $45 on Amazon. Not $25.
That light is almost $50 now on Amazon. no thank you. Got any other suggestions?
First timer regarding wanting to grow veggies from seeds. Thank you for this great video!!!!
$50 for that light!? There are so many other cheap led options.
How about a inexpensive stand? Can you buy legs like the FM setup? I have a Walmart Hyper Tough grow light but need a way to hang it over the seed starting kit. Cheers!
I would like to know where you get the 3 inch starter cells, with tray and lid? I can't seem to find them anywhere? thanks so much
The one thing that confuses me is when the plants begin to sprout with only half coming up…do I remove the whole tray from heat mat and humidity dome, or just remove the successful one and continue the unsprouted ones with heat and humidity? What if just one or two have popped up…do I wait for more? This is where I feel like I'm killing them.

Will you be doing a more in-depth video on lighting. I have been told so many different opinions it’s overwhelming. Eg= Shop lights work as long as it’s an led daylight bulb with a kalvin of 5000-6500 and a lumen of 2600 but higher the better. I’m also told if your kalvin is at 6500 then there isn’t enough red light for proper growth and seedlings will become leggy. Uggg. Living in Canada sometimes doesn’t have an item you suggested so knowing more about what you think of a daylite shop lite compared to a grow lite would be really helpful. Thanks Luke
So, a year ago, this bulb/light kit was $25. Now, it's $47? It's time to link a NON-GREEDY seller/maker. Is this just because they are linked to your channel and COVID-Exploiters??
Pro mix is soil-less no?
Wtf is an inch???
Luke, you said light cost you about $25. The link you put down below says it is over $70. That's a big difference… am I missing something?
Looks like the flats you recommended people are complaining about on Amazon reviews. They’re actually calling you out on it. You may want to adjust your links to the correct flats.
Thank you for mentioning that the plants need a break from the lights because I am a new gardener and I've been wondering about that! Question: how long should I leave the lights on and how long should I leave the lights off?
What do you think about the diy soil blocks so you don't have to use them treys anymore?
Luke I am thinking seriously of installing either a 4’ or a pair of 2’ grow lights as seen on video. Oh yeah, with corresponding heat pad or pads. Would these consume a lot of energy or not?
how about LED grow lights?
I'm wondering when to pull my broccoli plants. I still have some small florets that I'm waiting to harvest. I have watched YouTube videos on using the leaves and I think that's great! But when do I know my plant is just taking up space and not productive.
Also, do you have recipes and ideas for using broccoli leaves?
If I buy a bunch of seeds from you to start in March, am I good to do that? Or should I wait until closer to March to order them? If I get them now, how should I store them to increase the odds of germinating in like March?
Also, any idea when you'll be getting more Habanada?
Do you put all these on the timer?
Heat mat, fan and light?
I modified the grow light to sit on top of a 10 gallon aquarium just to help control moisture levels better. I get peppers to seed better that way. In the winter I use the same setup to grow micro greens.
I find it very difficult to transplant Bibb lettuce. I’ve seen it done on internet but I’m obviously doing something wrong.
