Aw I so loved this video! Many times I have muttered to myself as I pick up one of my Nigerian Goats and plop them onto the milking stand or back into the pen that their size is one of my FAVORITE things about them lol. Yours are adorable! I LOVE that they have their horns! Those make great handles too btw, if you don't have a collar for them lol.
So you have a couple variety of breeds, do you taste any difference in their milk? Is one better than the other as far as how you use it? Thanx!
I have no idea anything about goats but couldn’t you put something safe but sour tasting on one of her teets for a few days to get the babies to switch sides ? Just a thought that came to mind
bucket under the tummy helps.
Love the video! I feel like there is so much more I have to learn before getting my goats, but this was a great start ⭐️
I am making a milking stand so we can start milking as well. Come stop by our homestead!
I am so jelous your husband is a lucky man I wish I meet a country babe like you my wife started out like you then turned to the material world ahhh maybe in my next round thanks for your vids godbless !!
We got our first goats in December and the older doe gave birth in Feb so we are getting ready to start milking which is a brand new experience for me and for this doe (Missy) but we have been working on training to the stanchion and she also had a lop sided teet so we were milking her out on that side. It is all worth it I love having goats they are sweet, nosy, crazy, noisy little goofy balls
Kay' Dee, for sure! You are such a good goat-mama. I want Dwarf Nubians, someday! I learn so much from your vids! Blessings to your family!
SUGGESTION: Maybe you can raise the bowl so they can't eat and lay down.
Yayyyy ! you did it ! cute little goats !
Great video
Miah looks armed for war
use ropes on back legs wont hurt them
need to watch blue castus dairy goats on youtube
When I had nygerians I used one of my old breast pumps for her. Just found the end that worked for her. I did that bc I was having a arthritis flare and it was really hard for me to milk sometimes. It seemed more comfortable for her too.
Perfect timing!! My Pygmy/Nygrian Dwarf goat is going to have at least 2 kids she may even have 3 in a month! Im so excited thanks for this video its so fun to see someone else doing something similar, wish you luck.
High paying their feet down to the stand when you're milking that should help for a first starters
Blue Cactus (you tube channel) talks about lopsided utters often. You might check there for tips, tricks and answers. Love the step stool! Lol
Everything looks so green there. I'm itching for green.
Blessings ~
Tie off each leg on each side of bench with a rope.
I'm getting my pump soon. I am newly diagnosed but my almost constant numbers are high 300's all the way to 500's. Anything lower than 250 and I feel SUPER low. MDI isnt working so were doing control IQ. I am pretty excited(:
I hope you went with KaDDie
Can you keep goats without having to milk? Males only? Or females only?
I was recently researching DIY goat milking machines. They seem easy enough to make. The man showing the machine had large hands and he was milking dwarf goats with the machine.
I love nestle! So stunning! Xoxo
Jess, have you ever had Milk from an Alpine?
Hi Jess, I’m a newbie to goats, I am looking for a nice, sweet, great milk producer; and I am wondering what’s your opinion between mini lamanchas, dwarf Nigerian & dwarf Nubians ? Thank you for your opinion in advance <3
