Self Sufficient Me is based on our small 3-acre property/homestead in SE Queensland Australia about 45kms north of Brisbane – the climate is subtropical (similar to Florida). I started Self Sufficient Me in 2011 as a blog website project where I document and write about backyard food growing, self-sufficiency, and urban farming in general. I love sharing my foodie and DIY adventures online so come along with me and let’s get into it! Cheers, Mark 🙂

  1. Awesome video as usual!
One thing you mentioned though has me wanting to know more…Can you please do a top 10 plant it and forget it or like you said, "grow and forget" veggies or fruits for those of us who are trying to be self sufficient with full time jobs and kids too??? This would be GREATLY appreciated!!!! Thank you for doing what you do!!

  2. I agree. Corporations are heartless. And one of the main objectives of the COVID19 plandemic is to destroy small businesses for the benefit of big corporations. That also means that fewer families are self-employed and more people are deplorable wage slaves for big corporations.

  3. I got my speckled pea microgreens today. I am soaking them for 24 hours and then I am planting them. I hope they grow. I also planted one potato that sprouted. Both in pots inside my apartment. I have never done this before I am excited.
