  1. Someone shamed me for using garden fabric to beat the weeds and I feel soooo vindicated seeing you use it!! Hehehe I am so grateful for you these days! I discovered you a year (or two?) ago and you’ve been so supportive and helpful on so many levels!!

  2. I don't recall which video it was, but you mentioned potatoes having determinate and indeterminate varieties. I'm glad I watched that. I thought that applied only to tomatoes. This is my first year planting potatoes and that video significantly changes how I'll be growing them to increase my chances of success. Thanks so much.

  3. hello from Ontario Canada,i would just like to tell you how much you have inspired me,today i'm cooking the been soup you posted awhile ago, hope it turns out for me.With everything going on today for the first time i have started plant starts,i don't think the nursery's around here will be open this year and because of our climate we have a very short growing season,i live in a townhouse with a very small yard with half shade but watching your vidoes have made me believe and hope lol that i can grow something,so thank you for inspiring me to get up go outside and get dirty.

  4. Hope you didn't get too cold for too long there. When are you, or did you hill those potatoes? Please give us an update. I'm trying "red gold" in containers and also planted late for TX Gulf Coast by almost a month (Feb. 29). We just get so much rain here, there's no hope in the ground. Hope it works out for both of us.

  5. My Amish friends told me you should plant your potatoes on the Dark of the Moon(New Moon). Turns out March 24th was the New Moon. Next one is April 24th. Planting them on the Dark of the Moon, is supposed to make your potato plants bug free.

  6. Love love love this channel! I am only beginning to learn about gardening. My grandpa always had the best garden and would make us dinners from his yard. I started growing my own last year. It has truly been very rewarding and special to connect with him and myself in my little garden. Thank you for sharing I look forward to your video at this time. There a great break from everything going on and I can just dream of one day having a garden as great as your!

  7. I feel the same as below, ROOTS AND REFUGE and MI GARDENER ARE MY FIRST “ YOUTUBE HEROS! Woohoo, also HOMESTEADHEART TEACHES great canning tips! Never feel you can’t break the rules with some common sense! Love watching you learning and trying! Xoxo

  8. Robin from AZ I am a new gardener since Aug 2020. I love your videos. Thank you for sharing. I've learned so much from you. God bless you and your family.

  9. I often play youtube videos on 1.5x or 1.75x speed. Every now and then I need to slow it back to normal so I can get a realistic idea of the speed baby mini goats leap & caper around the farm.

  10. Thank you we appreciate it God bless you for all of the time and energy put into these videos we all know that it's hard time right now the factory with poor people in and give them break for even just an hour that's an amazing thing you be able to do and you make it fun God bless you from my family to yours

  11. I planted some potatoes that had started sprouting into a small patch in my yard and completely forgot about them until they suddenly grew. Do I wait for the plants to wilt and die down before I see what I've grown or should I go ahead and check them? How much are you supposed to water them? Also I saw somewhere that you need to be careful about potatoes that are still green, do those need to stay in the ground until they change color? I have no idea what kind of potatoes they even were. Thanks for any advice you can share.
