  2. We're right before bud burst for Blueberries and other perennials in the temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere….NOW is the time to recharge these plants to ensure maximum yields this coming growing season!

  3. Great video!!! What did you use for the mulch? I have Earthboxes and I'm trying to find something better to use other than the covers that they use. Thanking you in advance.

  4. I'm new to you're channel but I like what I've seen . First thing you don't need my advice on plants, but you could use a nice trenching shovel with a D handle and the top edge bent over 90% with holes punched from the bottom up to provide grip on your shoe's sole . they are nice and narrow and maneuver in tight places and can go deeper because they are narrow. they are around $30.00 and worth the price. Good luck I'll be watching. Mike

  5. Great vid Jeff! Always looking for gardening Channels in Canada as our weather / climate is so different then most of these YouTubers that live to the south of us.

  6. Greetings from Germany.
Thanks for the video. I have a blueberry plant in a big pot for 4 years. Once I changed half of the soil with new special berry soil. Things were ok just for one year and since last year the leaves turned to light green and few buds . Can you recommend me how to fertilize it ? Surprisingly this year it is full of buds !! but still unhealthy leaves. Waiting for any tip.
    Thanks in advance

  7. Low bush blueberries don’t seem to have this problem because their soil acidity requirements are so high that most grass can’t stand it. A great example of this is if you look at main blueberry farms. They grow in massive fields where there are no real amendments done except for the biannual burning of the fields to prevent blueberry maggots. Those fields have little to no grass in them at all and just blueberries 🙂

  8. I have chosen to plant haskap berry bushes and goji berry bushes instead of the blueberry bushes. Only because I have heard people complaining about blueberry bushes dying on them. On the other hand I have heard people complaining about haskap berry and goji berry plants growing too big despite a lack of care.
