Grab an Urban Worm Bag: https://shop.epicgardening.com/products/urban-worm-bag Earthworms are one of the most powerful organisms in your garden soil, tirelessly plowing through and turning larger chunks of organic matter into nutrient-rich castings.
These castings are colonized by bacteria, fungi, and other organisms in your soil to mobilize nutrients for your plants for EPIC harvests.
Let’s practice a bit of vermiculture and encourage more earthworms in your soil. To do this, you have to provide the perfect environment for them – rich in organic matter, protected from sun and wind, and evenly moist.

If you wanna get on that worm composting game, here's my fav system: https://shop.epicgardening.com/products/urban-worm-bag
My compost is mostly worms. Is there such a thing as too many earthworms in compost? everything looks good, just seems excessive. Please let me know!
i like thinking about little composting buddies doing their magic and having a good time in their little microcosms
God is in the soil and if you have worms God will be pleased.
Ecology and evolution are two biological concepts that are related and work together. Charles Darwin went to Galapagos to observe the ecology of an isolated island to attempt to explain evolution via understanding Galapagos species relationship to its external.
Nice video
Is there an alternative to earthworms, since they are invasive. At least to my knowledge.
did you know that an insect bit me today and i put some saliva on the insect bite and the insict bite was gone in seconds.
Have two large hugelkultur beds and I made the soil mix myself and ammended with.my homemade compost, topped with cardbox and leaves..Never seen more worms anywhere else in it
Be one with the worm, become the worm. XD
Thank you for this information.
Informative video.
PS- Darwin recanted his teachings in the end.
How do worms do with diatomaceous earth?
I was out digging with my bare hands rn to bury kitchen scraps when an earthworm popped up outta nowhere and started wiggling for its life I think he thogubt I was a mole anyways had to put him back lol
when he flashed the back of the book, the 1st thing i saw was "pooping"
Though they have lots of benefits when it comes to gardening, they are actually not good for most native North American forests. Typically the organic matter in our forests decay very slowly however earthworms decompose organic matter on the much faster than normal which leaves it exposed and damages the forest's soil. I would recommend using a worm bin or a worm bag instead to avoid spreading them.

Hi, Im here over in Australia. Sending huge support. Love what you do on this channel. Im an urban planner, always think of green space can attach to our urban life. Love to see you keep growing this channel and share more epic knowledge of gardening.
What about chlorine in our water for those of us on city water? I imagine it isn't great for soil microbes.
The soil is so bad around my house (just rocks and gravel with just enough clay to cement the stones together) I once bought a rototiller to try and break it up. No luck, so I sold the rototiller and made a large raised bed veggie garden. I filled it with a 50% combination of cow manure and soil from a near-by ranch. I never saw an earthworm anywhere near my house, ever. So I bought some night crawlers from the local bait shop and red wigglers from eBay. I now have worms in my raised bed veggie garden!
I live in a desert (Las Vegas, NV) my soil has few worms. I am working on creating a compost bin. Can I add worms to my compost bin?
Earthworms aren’t all created equal. Some should be destroyed on sight before they destroy the ecosystem – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Invasive_earthworms_of_North_America
Evolution are you kidding me
Can deep fryer cooking oil be added into the compost???
The oil has never been used for meat only deep frying potatoes and onions???
Thank You for this video!
Reminds me of this old lady years ago (Mrs. Rose R.I.P.). She was a gardener and I use to ask her questions on how to..i remember I asked her how do you grow so much stuff to give away? She answered, "You got to feed the worms baby". I never forgot that, now im actually getting into it. Thanks again!
