  1. I LOVE the raised beds in your hoop house (high tunnel) I understand that you are going to use cattle panel trellis inside….but have you ever seen "string trellis hooks" to use inside a structure? YouTube channel called Spring Hill Farms is a production grower located in Canada and they have great videos showing the use of these hooks. The cool part of them is once the plants have reached the ceiling, they can be "let down" and fairly easily given more space to grow upward….check it out….

  2. Do you ever have issues with your straw dropping seeds and starting seedlings? Because the straw I used to mulch has started a bunch of weeds.

  3. Love your channel! My wife and I have been so Inspired. We started some raised beds this year and found your channel while looking for resources. Was wondering – while looking forward to next year – do you have a planting guide? Like when to start what seeds, when to move which starts out to the bed? We are in 7B also. Would be willing to pay for such a guide!

  4. Do you sell your veggies or do you preserve it for your family? Looks like you're going to have a LOT of food growing. I always enjoy watching you do you thing.

  5. Me and my mom are going to be starting our gardens at some point, i will be starting my garden that is called "Give a gift" , all the food that will be grown will be sent to a restaurant type thing for homeless people that can go eat there. I am super exited to send all the food we will be growing to the Martha's kitchen!!

  6. Jess I hope you pinned down all that cardboard or you might find it blown all over your yard. The wind can be cruel. Do you have help caring for all of that garden? Looks like an awful lot of work. Good Luck !

  7. I think I heard Charles Dowding say he is moving away from raised beds because the walls are a home for slugs and other pests. I'm thinking about going that way. he just mounds it up. plus I've built a few raised beds this spring and it's hard work most of the time.

  8. Ok I need help. I'm a novice gardener. Zone 7b also…North Georgia. I planted my cool weather veggies from seed April 4th. Even my leaf lettuce, which says 28 days, is still the size of a pencil eraser. What am I doing wrong? I saw that you were harvesting kale weeks ago. I'm so jelly. Love you guys, btw. Found you a few weeks ago and wish you lived next door so we could be besties! God bless!
