We make a start on sowing the sweetcorn and we pot on some of the squash plants. We also visit the plot and plant out the sweet peas and the globe artichoke.
We also plant the Yukon Gold potato in a pot. If you’ve never grown potatoes in pots, why not give it a try, the results can be fantastic.
April is a key month for the allotmenteer, there is plenty to do, more vegetables can be sown indoors and seedlings will need pricking out as well as potting on.

I have some swift sweetcorn too. Look forward to see how yours grows compared to mine. I bought it in the UK last summer.
best commentary.
Really good instructional. Using an empty pot rather than the potted plant…. safer. Fantastic weather gives way to much needed rain.. so I'm catching up on sowing : ) My strimmer… on a growing list of things going bust and needing replacing… shouldn't have left it in the damp all Winter. Nettles sting you if you touch them hhahaha! Awesome defence needed In your parts and mine. Looking good.
Hi Adam, stinging nettles…..haven't you learned by now. I don't grow corn, the mice have them before me ,so I've given up , good luck with that, regards.☺
Hello Adam, want some Good news ? Dr Dan Erickson and Dr Artin Masscihi speak truths. News conference.
Gold short derivatives market is busted. Paper gold is just that.
Bad news before yesterday we had rights. Now we can be mandatory vaccinated.
And all your property destroyed. And only a judge can release you.
The research (Zed Phoenix YouTube channel ) is deep .
Good night.
Hi there Adam, are you going to stew those nettles down into a liqued manure? they take food out of the soil the least they can do is put it back. Its very satisfying when you see your seeds appearing when sown direct into the ground and give a big sigh of relief. Cant believe I saying this to the master. I do most of my vocal post videoing, mainly because I make loads of errors, a lot of yes buts, coughs and sneezes and the occasional *********. When I get visitors or adjacent plot holders coming they are obliveous that I am recording talk away quite chatty and sometimes walk right into shot but nobody gets uploaded without permission. I noticed a difference in sound quality was one the camera and the other your computor? still a good video and gets a thumbs up. Take care Mike
Good morning Adam. WOW I'm glad we don't have stinging nettles here. Best wishes Bob.
Those corn seeds look as dry and shriveled up as my faith in humanity. If they grow, bet they'll taste as pure Kafkaesque existential angst. Which, btw, goes great with a crate of beer. Preferably all in one afternoon.
Waiting for CD'S replay to my comment. Latest.
He replied but I found his answer a bit rude and abrupt.
excellent commentary Adam.
