  1. Just got back from a little local nursery. I didn't need anything because I've started my own but I bought some flowers because we need to feed our souls too. That rose looks like it's going to be Beautiful. When we lived out in the country one of the best cats we ever had was abandoned. Bottle fed her and her brother. He didn't make it but Megan did. She loved leaving me little voles and mice all the way from the front door to the clothesline. Blech! but she was just showing her love. She didn't mind the kids dragging her around and loving on her either. Best farm cat ever.

  2. I thank you for always providing good content. You have given me the courage to push forward with homesteading. We are still in an urban area, but keep us in prayer, we plan to be on our on property by January.

  3. Watch for the sales is good advice. Just came back with a buy one get one free white Broad breasted turkey poults. No way I needed them but you just never know. This wasn't even advertised. Sometimes you just get lucky. Only have two blueberry bushes, but already clipped them to grow more. Also have the Elderberry, Goji and gooseberry. Spreading the joy as much as I can. I knew you would be getting that rose bush. Was beautiful and will look great on your farm.

  4. Always a joy to watch you around the homestead. I'm especially glad for today's video, since it speaks of building each other up in our efforts. Best to you and yours.

  5. Having a homestead is my dream. But I want it to be profitable enough that I do not need a full-time job (my husband will keep his). What do you suggest would be the best way to get egg customers since I know chickens will be my first animal on the farm?

  6. Yep, we've got chickens and bees so we sell eggs and honey too. I've tried to grow blueberries twice now and both times they have died on me. What's your trick to keeping them alive. I want to try again, because we love blueberries. Thanks for your awesome videos!

  7. You would be in awe of our blueberry bushes Patera! We have 3 that are over 20 years old and are over 12-15ft tall. We can easily get a 5 gallon bucket of blueberries everyday from it.

  8. Yes, we all need to be doing homesteading. I love growing veggies and I would love to have a few chickens… When I was working, before I retired, there were people that had eggs and I would buy from them… loved them. Bear is precious, he is loved for sure and I love his personality.
