Thinning is easy, you just pull out the plants you want to discard….but in this video, we look at three different strategies for thinning, each with their own benefits!

  1. If you're just starting out gardening in 2020, this inexpensive set of tools from Amazon can get you and your Carrots up and running this spring! I know there is a fevered and renewed interest in gardening and many of you are seasoned vets. But remember that there's a whole population out there that hasn't gardened before. 2. I tried to grow carrots and radishes last Fall. However, the seedlings did not survive the first frost that happened at the end of September. Everything I have read about planting carrots and radishes tells me that they are cool weather vegetables and would do better in the Spring and in the Fall. I started my containers the first week of June; so, I was too late for Spring, last year. It stayed too hot all the way through to about mid-September. Do you know of any varieties that are heat tolerant?

  3. Thin? I can't even get them to grow. Commercial seed company I will not name, pack of carrot seeds planted according to direction and not a single seed germinated. I even tried the wet towel method and nothing. Also a pack from same company of sweet yellow peppers, nothing. And a pack of strawberry seeds, nothing, over 100 seeds and not a single one germinated. And a pack ot tomato seeds, nothing. Planted seeds from a store bought tomato and they are growing.
All the other seed packets were fine, sweet corn, beans and peas.

  4. I had planted only a few little finger carrots and the carrots are able to harvest now.
    1) What will happen if I don't want to harvest it?Will it continue growing until produce seed then die?
2)when the carrot is ready to harvest, is it possible to replant it somewhere else instead of eating it? (just curious…

  5. Thank you for the information! The video is short and concise with helpful information and excellent video recording and editing to clearly see what you're demonstrating. One distraction, though: The constant "upswing" of your tone of voice at the end of so many sentences (a common mistake made by many today) is hard to listen to for very long. It's like hearing you ask a question in almost every sentence. Please forgive any affront. None is intended. The rest of it was worth sticking it out. If you're able to be aware of and improve that one point, you'd be golden! Thanks again!
