  1. Good afternoon Adam, Jack hammered last of the no dig beds dug over and topped up with home made compost. 4 season of poor results, now cabbages huge and soil healthy not concrete.

  2. No idea with the new plants. But they look spiky. Turnip hedge thats a first eh 😉 How long did the string take lol. You can make string out of stinging nettles. No idea why they are square though. I am really looking forward to have the lupines flower next year I have about 8 plants I think need to re pot them. Hope the turnip transplants work out.
    Cheers

  3. Doing good Adam. I've never encountered a stinging nettle, however, I would classify it as a weed along with the poison ivy that grows in one corner of my yard. Shall we eradicate them together? Thanks for sharing. Stay safe.

  4. The stinging nettle believe or not is from the same genus as the mint family which also includes salvias and verbena and they all have square stems. Having a square stem as opposed to a round one makes no difference. No more commenting from me or you'll think I'm a stalker (pun intended)

  5. Hi Adam, everything seems to be coming on really well for you. I have never given turnip's a go. By the way, have you got a pumpkin plant growing? See you soon.

  6. Good morning Adam. I don't have a clue what your mystery plants are. I did check out The Hapless Gardener. We had a major rain event over here too. So I didn't play in the garden. Best wishes Bob.

  7. Hi Adam, I must say the potatoes are looking very healthy, should produce a good crop in a few weeks time. It will be interesting to see if the transplants from the rows of root crops come to anything worth having. I would think being transplanted when a tap root is already forming is too much of a shock for crops such as beetroot and turnip to overcome. I remember being taught never to do this! Always willing to be proved wrong. I've know idea what your mystery plants are. Commiserations with the loss of your pet cat. As you say, far too young to die.

  8. Hi Adam, you where right about the onions, I've taken the lot up , it seems to have affected only the sturon, another lesson learned, I'll keep my eye on the what ever it was i bought from ah! Just remembered centurion, life's full of ups and downs, I'll battle on regardless, regards xx

  9. Never seen one transplant that big plant before, lookking forward to se the resalt. Excellent kotting work…lol.. but to be fair…i do the same…Never reflected over the nettle stam before always thought they were round… u live and learn.

  10. Hi Adam. Plot is looking really good. A turnip hedge. Who’d of thought it. Have you got hands of iron holding that nettle ! Don’t you just hate it when you are recording a video and someone starts doing something noisy while you are recording? Like the strim off. Take care. Nick
