  1. A simple way to pop the corn. Place in a paper bag. Make sure there's only one layer of popcorn. Fold package close and pop on popcorn time in your microwave.

  2. I remember when I was in Mexico, my aunt and uncle would remove the kernels using a an empty corn cob. They also had This DIY tool made up of corn cobs that were held together with a wire in a circle and they rubbed the cob with kernels on to the other cobs

  3. Another option would be a large bamboo section with threaded inserts and adjustable setscrews to pop the kernels off.
Threaded inserts are a great way to ensure your screws/bolts never strip out the hole they're fastening.

  4. Mark, you crack me up. Just got hubby to make me one of your corn cob de-kernellers. Worked a treat – he even got to use it first. Will have to try it on my Silvermine corn – when I grow it. Oh and I'm just about ready to harvest my Jicama (Yam Bean), it's feeling huge (I had a test feel under the soil). You harvested some after the seeds had dried out in one video, how did it taste when it was left on so long? I only received 5 or so seeds and really need to save the seeds. I only have 3 in the ground.
