  1. You said you didn’t have a root cellar. I have a suggestion for you. A friend of mine actually buried a box car and used it as a root cellar. It worked perfectly for veggie storage through the winter along with her home canned goods.

  2. I live about 40 minutes down the road from Walla Walla, Washington. I have heard the name my whole life so I never thought how weird it probably sounds to a five year old!

  3. You really need to put some ventilation and fans in your house for summer, plus 50% shade cloth. You will be amazed at the difference. I put two fans in my 100 by 15 foot Farmers Friend tunnel and the fungus and blight have stayed away this year. I raise about 300 tomato plants and some greens in mine.

  4. I made onion powder from some of our onions this season. Just a heads up, you will need lots of onions to get a substantial amount of powder, but well worth it. It is SOOOOO good. You won't be sorry. Hands down THE BEST onion powder I've EVER had.

  5. Thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge and beautiful garden! ❤️ I’ve learned a lot from your videos. And it’s always a joy to see the young at heart helping and learning by your side.

  6. This just re-motivated to try garlic and onions next year after a big failure this last year. Also, I’m really loving the time lapses that you’re doing. So much fun to see a glimpse into the labor you’re putting in.

  7. Love the videos and I learn so much. Was hoping to see how you cured your onions and garlic. This is my first year with garlic, I hung them. only had a small batch. but about 100 onions this year, and need to figure out for space. Thanks for all the helpful tips.

  8. I've never ought garlic to seed or onion to seed. I've always just cut the tops off of a bunch of store. bought that sprouted and planted those. Same with potatoes. I've just kept it up over the years and never had issues. Until this year. We moved and I didn't bring my seed items in the move. So have started over. I guess the down side is I don't have a big variety but, it's free gardening. I do pineapple plant's also. My BIL in Florida has a whole pineapple orchard from doing this.
