  1. I couldn't help but notice the Kale beside the carrots, and they look perfect (as mine did up until approximately 2 weeks ago), but all of a sudden there has been an incredible amount of white butterflies around, and the kale ( 5 plants)are completely and totally inedible now! – how??? I Only live a short distance from you, London, ON. Our growing season is virtually the same and I have recently discovered you and your location!! I await your comment!

  2. Thanks to you Luke, I just harvested the first carrots I’ve ever grown! With Royal Chantenay carrot seed I got from your website, I planted them out in a large pot when it was still cold/snowy out here in MI. I didn’t see anything happening forever(remember how we had May snow?). I though it was a fail until one day they sprouted. Later I did some thinning. A few started flowering and I pulled them and they were thin and fibrous. Trash. I thought they would all be like that but when I pulled one, one day to check, I was shocked I had a beautiful fatter, mid length carrot! Turns out I got about 20 amazing carrots. Thanks Luke for all your teachings and encouragement to just TRY!!
