Grown for its insanely nutritious bulbous root, Beet leaves are delicious in salads, wraps, and stir fry! This is indeed a powerhouse crop that should be in every backyard garden.

Is it not too hot to start growing beets now?
I've never grown beets; but, I have heard that the greens are edible. Isn't it a bit too hot to grow them right now? I thought that beets were cool weather crops.

Look at those big beet leaves! I’m Growing in a tub. I grow for leaves more than roots. And because it’s so hot rn here I grow in shade. Cool soak method. One thing I haven’t been able to do is save seeds from beets. I’ve never seen them flower.
We are eating low carbs so we don’t eat the beets themselves, however I grow beets on my patio in containers for theirs leaves… they are amazing in salads. Thank you for all your good growing tips and tricks … have a good day.
