Easy DIY Wood Storage Box using Scrap Wood and Scrap Metal.
As we were in need of something to store and to dry wood, we had to make ourselves a wood box. We only used reclaimed wood, metal and screws. Allthough the planks had different measurements, they all were approximately 9.5cm cm wide and 22mm thickness. The triangular form connectors are 4 by 4 cm, and are for a quick connection of all panels. To level the wood box, we welded metal tubes 40 x 40 mmon a plate and with the positioners we could adjust the complete wood box. Positioners are made of reclaimed galvanized tube that had a failure in it. The galvanazation doesn’t stick on the metal. All planks are wood stained for durability. The complete size of the box is 2 metres in width, 2 metres in height and 60 cm in dept. The side panels are in front 190 cm and at the back 200 cm. The roof is of the same reclaimed wood with a lenght of 80 cm, and painted in weather resistant paint. The planks overlap each other, so that rain is drained very easy through the small gutters and it makes the roof rain proof.
