A tropical storm blew through and decimated some of the garden. There were tornadoes that touched down locally, but a little wind won’t stop me and Tuck from getting harvests from the garden. Today I will show you the aftermath and what I am doing to manage my garden now.
Thanks for the kind words and support 😁🐕❤️

That’s why plants are pliable. Bend in the wind. Don’t break.
Living near Orlando, we know about hurricanes and tropical storms. I live in a middle class neighborhood but, dream of being wealthy. Combining a desire for better stuff along with a need to preserve what we have, we've taken a different approach to "structures" in the garden.
Visiting the 'no rent' districts of Naples, Sarasota and Miami, I've seen what truly wealthy lots look like. Amazingly enough, they look like gardens! The structures, instead of being made of wood, are concrete and metal. While metal working is beyond me, and I'm no sculptor, it's not difficult to mate rebar with cement and create truly permanent, stormproof trellis, grape supports, places to sit and other structures. A bag of cement is CHEAP, rebar is CHEAP and, nothing worth having is totally easy. Wood will always and forever rot, and while that's great for making soil, it's a bitch to constantly work and have to replace things which could be, even less expensively, be made permanent and richer.
I'm watching this episode right now. I picked up on the name of two plants Costata Romanesco squash and Criolla De Cocina I looked them up on the Baker Heirloom seed site and ordered them both for this spring. Right after that you mentioned you hope people will get these and grow them. So it worked 7 months later. Todays gift may have been sewn yesterday, a month ago possibly 7 months ago maybe even longer.
Loved your garden show James, keep producing brother. This is one of the correct way of living civilize
How do I get to the affiliate link in Amazon?
I love to see your show. Very encouraging. I wish I could have had a larger garden thru my good years .katrenia Arrington
I love your optimism and your desire to learn and share from all your experiences in the garden! Thank you. PS Tuck is a great little sidekick! I love him!❤️❤️
What do you do with all the produce ? !
Why do you want the tomatoes to climb up rather that spread on the ground and re root them selves in to the ground I don’t understand
Good advice. I live in coastal SC and one of my biggest challenges is the wind. It's constant for me even without storms. Keep the faith, Baby. 🙂
Take your tomato suckers and put them in water, you should have roots in a few days

You have to prune the Hazel nut tree, J guess. There's so much suckers. It absorbs some of nutrients that should goes to the nuts. Goodluck.
Eccl 11:4-5 He who watches the wind will not sow and he who looks at the clouds will not reap.
Just as you do not know the path of the wind and how bones are formed in the womb of the pregnant woman, so you do not know the activity of God who makes all things.
God Bless you for your great attitude under bad weather results. That's what you have to do, is plant enough for catastrophes that are bound to happen, and that keeps us humble. Your garden still looks fantastic. Be of good cheer— we love you and Tuck ! tms poet Ohio
Good Job James and Tuck!!!!

Omg… That breaks my heart for you, this makes me feel like crying.
I don't think I could ever be a farmer or even committed gardener. It is so hard to watch all of your hard work be destroyed.
Heartbreaking, but you will always bounce back, I have no doubt!
Glad U r ok.
