Oh, I use a lot of plant stands too – Miah's right, get those plants up high. Best of luck!
You've got such a great way about you. Just had to say that. Thanks for delivering such solid info in such a pleasant manner. Big blessings to you and yours.
I had a cat that would mess up my plants and someone told me to put rocks on top of the soil. and that helped a lot!
First crop of heirloom tomatoes thanks to you guys. You are awesome. Love ya
I do the thin onion tomato thin cucumber
Olive oil and red wine vinegar sugar and garlic salt and a pinch of dried oregano. Almost like yours but is my delish go to
So I’ve been worried about cross pollinated curcubits. There’s been a lot of information on the poisoning that may result on it.
I don’t know if I am allowed to link… but there’s a few recent articles on it.
Show us your preferences for making kombucha! I only did it once and added organic store cherry and pomegranate juice on the second ferment. Eventually left it in the fridge for months and was going to throw it out, but it tasted better than ever! This video is great for saying you can save hybrid seeds, too. I had a lady on Facebook who likes to correct everything everyone says comment that has to be only heirlooms or you will get no tomatoes. I added that heirlooms are hybrids that have stabilized over many generations
Try cling wrap on your indoor plant pots to keep pets out.
I kinda like you guys more than some other videos I'm watching
Where do I send things from Florida?
We are saving extra seeds this year too. Theres a fb page called seed swapping swappers anyone else saving seeds in excess should also join its just like your local seed alliance but much larger & cost nothing.
Assuming you already know this but monstera is toxic to cats.
My husband got a sawmill a couple months ago from Norwood and we love it!
I just wanted you to know I put listening to you on my "when you are sad or stressed do this" list
I have a cat and lots of indoor plants! What worked for me is giving them a plant they can chew on. Cats love grassy plants, so I grow barley grass just for her, and I don't bring in grassy plants (like spider plants).
Use a coffee filter and write what the seeds are from and attach with a rubber band, the filter lets them breath and keeps the gnats away.
See these seeds floating on the bottom of the glass, lol. Sometimes I do the same thing. My mom used to say my mouth engaged before thoughts could, she was right. So much to say and not wanting to leave anything out. Thanks for the tutorial on saving seed and why hybrids are also good to save. Much love, peace and respect to your family. Blessings
You are so awesome! I love watching your videos while getting the house up in the morning. I have a great tip to cat proof those lovely house plants. Rocks. Larger plum size rocks covering the dirt, it also prevents fungus gnats as a bonus. I have never had a problem again after adding rocks. Blessings!
I love Vegie Tales!
Cats don't like foil, I keep a piece on my desk to keep her off. It works though
My garden has been a total flop so far. This year has been so weird as far as the weather goes. I planted sugar baby watermelon and got 2 of them and both were white inside and had no flavor. My sweet potatoes we dug up yesterday and they were so small. The only things that have grown good so far was tomatoes and spaghetti squash and peas lol I had 2 noodle beans. I am hoping next year I will be able to get a better start on stuff. Thank you so much for all your insight on everything!! <3
get a spray bottle with water – spray cat when in plants – leave sprayer out to remind cat.. ahh hah my niece has tons of house plants and a cat and dog. 🙂
Love your vids girl!
Noticed miah has a second skin on his leg? Has he hurt himself?
I absolutely love your videos. My copy of your book arrived yesterday (love it!). But watching your videos during this era is sometimes like.. the pandemic isn't a thing. Nobody's ever in masks, etc. Maybe Arkansas hasn't had much in the way of cases, but where I am, if you're around someone you don't live with, you're masked. Delivery people are masked, etc. It just makes me do a double-take, seeing the lack of precautions. You're fortunate if the pandemic has largely passed you by.
Honestly talking about Noah getting married on this and being almost done watching all of your videos in the last few months. I just think about the beauty of the legacy that Miahs mom has left.
Thank you for being so smart for everyone. Bless you.
