VIDEO: Roadside Farmstand All Time Record Sales Day

Farmers Markets aren’t the only way we sell our veggies, on Sunday we set up our market tent and display and sell the produce from the roadside in front of out house. We bring the abundance to our home! Lots of our neighbours have farm stands, although most sell fruit and not veggies and flowers, so we are unique. This week we had poor sales at the farmers market on Saturday, so we were determined to sell lots on Sunday, and we did, it was a great day for sales, our best ever for selling in front of our house. Flowers sold well, and our root vegetables like carrots and beets almost sold out completely. Truly a great day for everyone.

  1. Could be a good thing to try some ads on Facebook and Instagram when you do this kind of selling. You can geolocalize the ads so the people in the area know you are there from x to x hours, what's your assortment of things, maybe they can made an order ready to pick up through the phone.
My husband works in digital marketing and he runs those kind of campains. They could be very affordable for you, if you want some help with that.
Also I saw a video where you donated a ton of produce to a food bank. It's a good idea but maybe you need to partner with someone that make jars of things (like pickles, tomato sauce, etc) or dehydrated food, so you can get some money from that or, at least, you can get food.
For fresh flowers you can also run ads on Facebook and Instagram remembering things to people like birthday, anniversaries, celebrations, etc
I think you can achieve the goal of sell all your harvest in a more efficient way with an strategic use of social media advertising.

  2. This seems like a dream. If I could make $1,000 a week from growing and selling food? Omg i would be living my best life baby. My goal is to be able to grow most of my own food and use any excess to feed the homeless community. This video showed me that it's not only possible but lucrative! Inspirational!

  3. How late is your farmer's market open. Our's closes at noon and it seems like they should stay open longer. I'm going to go online and research what others are doing.
