After a great rain, I harvest basil when it dries in the garden. I take the best leaves and freeze it in small bags. It stays fresh all winter. Thanks for this video. I have been trimming mine too short.
James, I'm in NJ too. I always have holes in my basil from insects eating them. I don't see the actual bugs, not sure what they are. Any ideas on how to stop this?

Mine are tall and spindly. How far can I cut these back? To the first set of leaves or even further, like you can with rosemary?
