  1. Thanks a lot my favorite youtuber.i have thought first you neglected my wish.but you are so much kind and patiently grew the tree and fullfiled my wish.thanks best youtuber urban gardening

  2. Gonna say that the mango in the husk probably did germinate.
I’ve have a 50/50 with husk on or off.
Husk on they might get stuck within the husk and die(if the husk refuses to split open) so sad to imagine the seedling just couldn’t split it open by itself.
On the other hand, huskless seedlings had a higher chance of rot and mould to immediately set in. And also pests. Snails and some other critters will take a nibble at them. The husk prevents that kind of predation, plus it’s a super sanitary cell to grow it in.

Just remove as much sugary flesh to reduce mould and you’ll be right either way.
There are ways I’m sure to get 100 percent from mangos but if the seed didn’t mature or get pollinated correctly that can be an issue.
Also genes. And selected cultivars have seedless variety’s. And some don’t do well from seed. Not without a graft.

  3. Not only 283, there are more than 2000 varieties of mango, out of which 1000-1200 are found in India….. Haji Kalimullah (Padma Shree Awardee and a Mango Man of India) has grown more than 350 varieties on a single tree, in Malihabad

  4. I have a mango plant about 2 years old in a pot which I bring inside over the winter as I'm in zone 7 and afraid it wouldn't survive outside until its larger. It is about 3 feet tall but hasn't made any branches. Can you tell me why or how to make it branch instead of just growing vertically from the original stem? Thank you!
