Silkies are by far the cutest chickens ever, looks like you are going to have lots of them. Good to see the kitties but Mr Peaches was still no show ☹️

Patera, I just let my hen raise the babies this time. It had pros and cons. Pro was no heat lamp, con was half were roosters. I did get an interesting cross between my True Blue rooster named Rick Flair, and his harem of Black Sexlinks. The babies were black and have feathered feet. Big too. The moment the eggs hatched I ran to the farm supply and bought home 9 chicks and sneaked them under her rear in the dark and she took them! She’s a Red Ranger and big enough to raise all 15. Now they are supposed to start laying soon. In one fell swoop I replaced my entire flock.
