  2. Have you ever tried to inject air into your compost with an air compressor? I know some people that drill holes into their front or removable boards and inject air into their compost.

  3. I compost 3 ways.

1st. My clean compost for my worm bin. No onions, citrus, seeds, etc.
2nd. Hot compost bin. 65-80% leaves from lawn mower bag, 20-25% grass clippings. The rest other kitchen scraps and some bone meal. November-May.
3rd. A small, closed bin, mostly green kitchen scraps but any other kitchen scraps like from meats, rice and anything else I have, but no heavy vinegar, oil or salt foods. I usually bury this compost deep into the ground when I empty it because it's never broken down enough and I don't want it in my vegetable garden.

  4. Ever tried bokashi composting?? I have been doing it for about 5 years and my plants love it. I am not sure of the exact chemistry benefits of the fermenting but I am interested in learning.

  5. Oh my gosh! Finally someone who actually replies to the comments! ❤ I do have some concerns about cardboard. I'm thinking of cereal boxes, packaging of canned drinks, even paper bags and straw wrappers from takeout…are these okay to use? Not sure about the gloss that I've heard some people mention.
