  1. 7:33pm Central Time 11/23/20 and I checked the link for Mountaineers and they are all sold out. I will keep this one in mind and hope that we all do have seeds available next year.

  2. You should try greasy beans if you haven’t. By far my favorite bean. Sow true seed has a few varieties. Being from East Tennessee/Western NC you could appreciate that this is a variety that has been passed down through the generations in the area. Great flavor is a pole beam. Try it y’all will love it.

  3. I planted stringless green beans, was disappointed. We didn't get to harvest them. Our soil wasn't good, did some amending, and the darn bugs and worns got them. This hasn't stopped me, next season will be a success!!!

  4. I just did this the other day. I have never grown pole beans before, I've always grown the bush variety. I'm not even sure what variety of pole bean this was(I'll look on package later) but is was stringless and my they did well for us so I seed saved from them. Thank you for encouraging people to seed save and to try an new variety. Blessings! 🙂

  5. I got four pairs of minnetonka's not long back. Paid alot for the lovely grey ankle booties made from wool and have a blanket design on them with serpa inside . Oh they are cozy. Plus when it was a holiday I bought and three other pairs were on a mega sale. Even hello kitty black mocs with charms. Yes I've grown the half white runners. They are the bean of choice in e.ky Sandy and they do well late in the season.

  6. I found Mountaineer beans by accident at a farm in Hendersonville NC. Did not know what they were but bought some seeds so I can grow this spring. Thank you for your info on this variety. Excited to try!

  7. I have planted Rattlesnake Green Beans and Purple Pod beans, both are pole beans. I like them. Those ones you showed, the half runners, look real nice too. Love the mocs, I wear them too, and my high top knee high mocs are my favorites. Have had them over 20 years and still going strong! ( moose hide soles)

  8. kinda nice to have a variety that does a major output in fall after everything else seems done! I wonder if the white inner bean would cook up like a navy bean for soup or a great northern in baked beans or bbq beans???
