In this video I’ll be making cheese…..from milk. Last week I posted a video on how to make tofu at home, with just soybeans and lemon juice. It is actually easier to make cheese because you start with the milk already made by the cow. There’s no grinding of the beans like there is to make soy milk…..although you might have to milk the cow first!

I remember my mother making cheese curd and butter 35 years ago. I used to milk the Jersey cow twice a day as a kid. The butter was very strong for my young taste buds but the warm cheese curd was soooo good. I remember it squeaked against your teeth as you ate it.

Put a 20 lb weight to firm it up. Seems like your mil was the opposite type. Oh well, to each his own whey…..
