You have a cute setup.
Yes, your biggest treasures are right under your roof. Good job mom and dad. Don't stop that tradition. …..tears.
Thought of you when I saw these hand crafted mugs. There's one in the list of Goats and pigs <3 https://mymodernmet.com/ap-curiosities-animal-ceramics/?fbclid=IwAR0kDayS6ikC-BAbaaCduSd_-9sQPTRKDQb4GG5lhFxXcrBB3GLU23phvRw
I think it’s wonderful you start your new tradition!! Family is important!!
Hi Jess! I was wondering if there is a FAQ posted somewhere about the garden course? Merry (belated) Christmas to you and yours. ☃️
Very Special to have kids around. Mine, grown up kids are hours away and I stayed put. So it's nice to see you have a formal dinner with them. I made steak with mushrooms on Christmas Eve. nothing Christmas Day and steak again the day after. That was intentional too. 3 more steaks to go. Of course these steaks are small but tasty. All this intentional to spoil myself a little bit It's important to take care of oneself. From the kids, a squirrel proof bird feeder( but one figure it out already) and a grocery store gift card which I will spend down getting fresh ingredients to make salad. Then I will plant my own seeds and grow the ingredients. of course, there is more need than growth most of the time. Maybe i can figure something else and have some stuff year round. Not sure it will pay off as it is quite colder here than where you are. So sad to see the ice damage but your livestock seems to be fairing well, that's a plus and a blessing.
It's a Wonderful Life… my all time favorite. I have to watch on Christmas Night after all is said and done and its time to relax every year.
I love that fancy dinner idea!! I was listening and already planning to copy it for next year. My favorite Christmas is White Christmas. My sister and I watched it together every year since we were late teens/young adults. Now in our 60’s, we call each other every year and watch it together over the phone..
Jess, I am trying to find info on that gardening class you are starting soon.
Just wanted to let you know that I received a T-shirt: "Turn Your Waiting Room Into Your Classroom". Fantastic! Softest material I've ever felt in a T-shirt. The art is as beautiful as the sentiment. Love you, your family, your channel, your love for the Lord, and for each other annnndddd; I just got my brand new favorite T-Shirt ever! Just wanted to let you know I'm one satisfied customer.
Hi Jess and Miah! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Thanks for sharing your delightful family and beautiful homestead with us.
I know you probably hear this often, but before COVID19 I had very little interest in gardening. Then one last Spring I watched Jess' classic instructional video on raising tomatoes. I've been hooked ever since. Thank you, thank you for introducing and drawing me into this wonderful new world. It has become a passion that has brought a lot of joy to me and my family. You are so gifted with what you do, and I'm so blessed to have you as my guide. You are so knowledgeable and your videos are so compelling.
I just got done with a large order from Baker Creek, also your doing. 🙂 Can't wait for Spring.
Can you put a small heater in your green house
Yes we have my children over every Christmas eve to open presents my so smoke chicken then made homemade gumbo his first time it was wondering I help him I just chopped his vegetables pick the chicken but it gave us time together and the nexted day he smoked pork butt chicken and beef roast it was so good he becoming a good cook but you keep that going sounds fun
That's a super cute tradition!
I love your beautiful Christmas table centerpiece- is that what Miah made? Your fancy dinner especially for your own family is something kids will treasure…there are really plenty of times the rest of the year to have guests, right?
What a special tradition. Beautiful idea.
That's what we did! We did a Harry Potter Yule Ball themed fancy Christmas dinner with just us. My niece loves Harry Potter and so do her mom and I. We lit candles, dressed up, fancy plates. It was great. You love naming your animals after characters, there would be tons of Harry Potter themed names you could pick from.
It's not just a good Christmas movie, it's the best movie ever made! I watch it every year at Christmas, have for years! "HEE HAW!"
I just spent some time today ordering seeds from Bakers Creek. I have a longer wait till planting season. I'm zone 5. Happy Birthday to Miah. Many Blessings.
adds "soil prep workers" to list of reasons to get chickens… *Adds "and pigs"*
We watch it's a Wonderful Life every year! When I first introduced it to my partner 4 years ago, when Mr. Potter gets the money in the newspaper, he jumped up and said… NOOOOOO!!!! So sweet. He's insisted we watch it every year and we even went to the cinema on W4th in NYC last year. It'd s tradition now.
Finally can watch! WiFi was out for weeks, Merry belated Christmas and Happy Belated New Year!
Lol, are those Mad-Max helmets as practical as they are stylish?
