Ben is soooo my son! (Without the drama) mine always grabs kale, but snobs me because I dont have a lemon to go with!
Omg you and your family are the cutest homestead nerds. I love watching your videos. Your kids have a very cool mom.
What are some of your favorite companies to get cut flower seeds from? I want to bring some into my garden plans for personal enjoyment this year.
Christine at Heifer Ranch in Perryville does a great pastured pig workshop & may be on YT video. I think she does both visual barrier and hot wire.
Please help me decide about how to find property like you did. I have a really good offer on my Florida property. I've been here since 1993, bought for long term investment for homestead and for my retirement fund. I'm retired, I don't want to stay here. I want to be a little farther north. I used to have a small homestead in St Joe, Arkansas and I lived in Tennessee for quite awhile. I still owe a mortgage on my property but selling would pay off mortgage and give me a sizeable nest egg to relocate and buy property for cash. I am very scared to do this during the pandemic but I don't want to miss out on this offer. I am very worried though about my fur babies, they are 15 years old and they have many health issues. I worry about finding a place and moving them and I'm no spring chicken myself!
I heard feeding chickens corn in winter keeps them laying. And if another mother feed babies, maybe mother needs a rest or doesnt have enough milk. I have no experience on any. But i did feed chickens corn all year and they laid all the time. Take care. Great looking garden.
This is my chickens first year laying, and they have not missed a day. Very Blessed
Just curious! Do you heat your greenhouse or is it just natural heated by the sun? If you do heat it how?
Have a diy high tunnel this year (15ft long) and hope to upgrade one day but am working with what I have for now lol
I saw some videos where people fed red bell peppers and red hot peppers to their chickens and the eggs came out red or dark orange, very pretty
You need to grow some Mexican Sunflowers (Tithonia) in your cut flower garden.
How do the chickens not fly out?!
barnfielder, and a chicken might be eating the eggs too.
Call this feeding method, for your hens, CRAZY though Friskies Hard Cat food, powered calcium, and kitchen scraps. Several friends are using this feeding method during the winter and they have year-round eggs.
Awwww…What happened with the fence?
How cute is that black and white spotty goat! I've never seen a goat like that before. Is she a specific breed?
I must have missed it! When and why did you take the garden fence down?
Just love you my lil sister in Christ. You are such a blessing. a good girl.
No cow panels with the smaller squares on bottom for pigs?
We use electric fencing on our mangalitsas and it works well for all but our big boar Borris because he is an escape artist lol.
You need a small green house for your chickens. They will stay warm and have more natural light in the winter.
Hah, you said Ben Hollar (ing) – referring to little Ben. I love Miahs drama lol
1:29 This is the best moment! other than this 2:49
Where do you find your garlic to plant? Every site I've checked has been out ☹
Informative share. Thank you.
I'm watching this on Feb 25, 2021.
"I wouldn't mind being snowed in for a few days." This was before "the incident" – days of super-cold hitting 14 (?) states, accompanied by various power outages – around Feb 15.
Hot peppers
But look it, there’s Brussel sprouts
