No Matter what Tomato I grow they are always Good tasting
I've been watching so many random videos on youtube for the past like 3 years. All kinds of things from crochet tutorials, journaling, small living, building a house, prepping, etc
And I must say this is in the top 3 of the most useful and informative videos I've ever seen!! Thank you for pouring yourself into this channel and for all of your incredible knowledge. Now, if I can keep this ivy alive, maybe I'll plant something outside lol!
I was going to give up this year but now I'm excited. Deer keep getting my tomatoes
Same on the glazed look when I talk about all the varieties! I'm going to try out selling my own plants next year when I get a better set-up to do so but I'm sooo excited. It's all I talk about right now lol my husband just smiles and nods. We do cowboy candy and cream cheese as a dip too A LOT! I make my cowboy candy as a relish (just chopped instead of rings), and then mix it in with cream cheese. I really want to try to make a tomato jam this year to add to the cream cheese dip. It's something I haven't done before that's really interested me. I really like Flamingo sweet peppers, they were very productive and really fun to grow as they start out white/yellow and turn red. I also really enjoyed SuperSauce tomatoes, not an heirloom but they were very awesome to can with and fresh eating was great as well.
Dang…I was hoping u had a squash variety that worked. Squash bugs and boarers decimate mine too
Do you buy only non gmo and heirloom seeds from other companies?
So I am listening to Jess and one thing came to mind. Though she is taking to a camera and anticipating talking to an audience, she is such a good conversationalist she can have excellent conversations with herself! It's crazy how well she flows!
Great help thx!
om ,y dads property we planted watermelon pumpkins cantalope one year i think we picked 5 of each type then he just let them go wild did nothing too them so following year if froze so he thought they were gone i went back 3 years later and its still producing cause it seeded itself was quite funny to me
i know another youtuber that is look for a start of sage he can't fine it at all in seeds to start his own home garden they just harvested their carrots they probally got 3 bushells maybe more the name of the youtuber is coghills farm maybe you both can help each other out like i seen so many farms helping each other throughout my life
i love beans myself fresh cut beans our my favorite greenbeans or lima beans and of the collared greens mustard greens
I look on the internet to find most of the information I need fore my zone, altitude, humidity ,ect ect. I think anybody starting a homestead should take at least a high school level Hoticulture class " in person.. very important information on soils and Ph levels. A lot of basic information. I'm glad I did, plus I've always been a gardener at heart (-:
I love following many gardeners, but you are one of my favorites because you have the chattier dialogue that I can put on while I clean or cook or drive. Bonus: I'm also in zone 7b (Philadelphia)
I have a favor, in the future can you leave things on the screen longer? I have had to rewind or pause several times to get them taken down. I am LOVING your videos so far.
Borage is super fun for kids to use as straws (the stems), light cucumber flavor and compostble!
I feel like my growing season never ends although it does because there are times where it gets way too hot and I have to provide shade because that's Florida.
… Vermont? You can grow peppers here in Canada just fine, just start them a little early lol
38:32 ground cherries note to self! Sounds so fun!
My kid just ate our first rattlesnake bean today. And we are in North Florida. Humid, wet and hot are exactly what our life is at the moment and they are thriving.
Please do a hybrid list!
Love your infinity necklace and all your passion for gardening! Thanks for sharing
Do you collect seeds from your plants for the next growing season? If so, please consider making a video about how to do that. Tomatoes, sweet peppers, and a few others are very easy. There are others that are more tricky.
I recently stumbled upon your channel and LOVE it! I'm ready to start my first garden next spring and am in the process sof planning and preparing for it. I've tried to find videos that explain seedstarting, seed types, things needed, ect but found myself wanting more at the end of the video cause they were so short. I love how long and detailed this video is.
Wow, I’ve got my notebook and stopping and starting. So much good information. How do you save beans/seeds and store them for the next years planting. Thanks Jess
I love this video! It is super informative, confirmed many of my personal choices and exposed me to new options to try out.
Jess, this was the first year I have grown silver slicer cucumbers per your recommendation and Thank you Thank you! Rave reviews from everyone who has tried them this year.
