I’m so excited to share with you my current favourite resource related to growing food, and in this video I explain why I find this resource to be so valuable to home grower. Not only to I highlight the benefits of it, we also get to speak to Nigel Palmer, the author of the resource who tells us more about his experimental techqinue of gardening, who this book is for and why this information is so important. I don’t often share a resource in this way but when a gem of a resource like this crosses my path I have to let you all know about it.

Gardening is certainly a learning experience, repeat successes and gain wisdom in failures.
Great Huw just ordered a copy I have just commenced using soil amendments suggested on another garden channel U SA. That made sense to me so it will be now interesting to read this book to find if I’m on the right course.
Thanks for sharing your resource!
Thanks Huw! I love your channel and approach. I typically watch on my smart TV where I’m unable to comment or “like”, so just want to let you know that this long time gardener is still learning and growing with your help!
Look forward to read f apply one or a few of the advice from a modest experienced gardener. Many thanks for sharing!
I paused the video to say that it sounds like korean natural farming and then as soon as I unpaused you mentioned its inspired by techniques like korean natural farming lol
Thanks, man.
Once one gets the principles, the techniques take care of themselves.
Thank you Huw for sharing the book, it's always good to find out the knowledge behind growing veg
I love the concept of experimental gardening. Thank you so much for asking him that question.
Thanks for posting this.
How much overlap is there with recipes & ingredients in this book compared to JADAM, or is it completely different?
I heard Nigel speak on a podcast a few months back and I immediately ordered his book. I've already started using it. His work is just the tip of the iceberg of things to learn in this area. Thanks for getting the word out there Huw!
So much great information here!!!! Very impressed, thank you for the info! Cheers from Canada
Would these principles work alongside no dig?
Fabulous
Thanks. I've ordered it. Let's hope I don't blow the shed up now.
Hi Huw, Thanks for your recommendation. It is really an inspring book. However when I found that we need to source a lab to test our soil mineral content, my heart sinks.. lol
Hi. Massive thank you for your work and videos. I am impatiently waiting for my husband who went to pick up both of your books! I live in Poland and the delivery was planned for a later date. I was so surprised this morning to see it's already here! I am so excited to start with my raised beds and my garden in general. I've got so many ideas and each day I do a small bit just to get things rolling. Your channel is one of my main inspirations. My mind was blown when I've heard you are actually 2 years younger than me. So impressed by your knowledge! Good job ☺️
Huw. I've never really done gardening. But your channel has been an immense source of comfort through this pandemic. You have a very soothing manner and a great camera presence. A natural presenter. Thank you for sharing your passion.
How good is vegetable gardening??? I just started and have a thirst and passion for learning and am successfully growing and harvesting tomatoes, zucchini, corn, kale, spinach, radish and so much more. Big love and support from Melbourne, Australia xxxxxx
It´s a pretty kwown fact tat vegetables grow best when you talk to them in a Welsh accent.
Only 2 left in stock on publishers site…now 1 😀 We have HORRIBLE soil here, so I'm looking forward to starting up some permaculture here <3 Thank you!!!
Nigel Palmer rocks….and grows great stuff naturally!!
I am blown away by the book. It is a must for gardeners. It is way more than a recipe book; it is an education on the biology of a garden. The recipes cost next to nothing, save so much money on fertiliser and pest repellant, and give you healthy plants with high quality produce. It is the best investment i have made this year. Thank you
I’m 72. Weeds were enemies to be slain. Never entertained a single thought differently. Nigel and Huw have, in one second, changed my view of all that grows forever. I immediately found buckets and started fermenting! Everything is greener. Growing faster. Truth hidden in plain sight. Makes one wonder what else I’m missing!!
Thanks for the recom. Bought the book and it is excellent! This is the future for my garden.
I supper excited watching this video about the author on the leaf mold Biology, my name is Dennis from Nigeria and I would like to learn more from you, am a new bee in organic farming and a self acclaimed environmental evangelist. My believe is that the earth has been created to sustain itself naturally, so it would be nice to know how to use those natural things to help ourselves and live a good life, hope to read from you soon – thanks
