What is your growing zone? City also.
wow, I thought I left a reply and question the day you made this. anyway, I asked how many chickens you have and do you have a limit before its too many for you.
How do you care for your chickens feeding, coop etc? Im thinking about getting a few but im doing my research first. Thanks!
Do you have any animal pests issues? And if so, how do you deal with them? We are on 3 acres and have so many gophers, ground squirrels, and wild rabbits…..trying to figure out the best ways to keep them out of everything.
I Love your enthusiasm! What is your favorite thing to grow? In the future do you think that you will raise goats or other small livestock?
Does celery root taste like celery? I love the taste of fresh raw celery but I hate the strings.
When you talked about joining a CSA, I had never known it was a thing. Thank you. I am a 64 yr old widow living on one acre in AK. My plan is to move to a similar size property in NV this summer. I want 1 or 2 bee hives along with a garden and chickens for meat and eggs. How many chickens does your one acre property handle along with your raised beds?
One or two fruit/shade trees would be nice as well. A CSA will help fill in the produce and products that I cant grow. Thanks for that info. I never knew it was a thing.
What is a good balance between your garden size and how many chickens you have on your land?
Great story. I love seeing young couples on the same page.
Ah, I see you sort of did a video that is a summary of your story. Would still love to hear more when you are ready to share. I'm also curious, how did you first hear about homesteading? Everyone has that beginning where they first hear about it and it just goes from there. I don't know that I hear many people start sharing their story from that point. It's so neat to see/hear how others get "here"
How do you find the time to garden and can when you work full time
Hi Becky, I just found your channel today and I loved it! I have already seen some videos and I have already learned a few tips. Would you make a video about how to compost? Thank you.
Can I garden in pots. I’ve been sick and can’t do much. But I see your videos and it makes me want to plant.
Can I plant a garden in all pots.
Did you know that the woman who developed that green seeding square is Canadian, lives in British Columbia.
I have heard the term CSA before but I didn't know what it was. Thank you for the explanation.
I think Barbara wrote regular novels, too? That book sounds so cool!
How long does it take to grow your garlic
Thank you for sharing your story. My partner and I got married this year, and we bought our first home. While it isn't the ideal time to buy, we knew that we didn't want to be in a situation where our landlord sold the home we were renting. Thankfully, we did have space for a small garden.
We stayed within our budget and managed to buy in a desirable area with high resale rates. We've learned a lot over the past few years. The home that we bought allows us to grow, but not to the magnitude that we want. Our goal is to grow what we can, support local farmers, and continue to develop other skill sets. In a few years, we hope to purchase our forever homestead.
I would like know more about our garden &chickens I have 5 chickens about 4-5 more old but no eggs how old b4 getting eggs
I'm glad I found ur channel it is good to see someone so young interested n the old way of raising food for their family b it veg or protein good work thx much enjoy watching all ur videos
I want to know about your chickens.
Your love for what your doing is so inspiring. I wish I had half your energy. I live on 1/4 an acre and in Florida close to the beach so my soil is completely sand not to mention all the crazy bugs year round, but I’m trying my best to make it work. I started planting in containers and got a little but that little bit brought so much joy. I am truly amazed at how much you have done and learned in just the 2 years you have lived in your home. Keep those videos coming.
I love “Animal. Vegetable, Miracle “ I think it’s my favorite book! I have to check out the other book, too.
