  1. Cochise would kill this puppy, you are absolutely correct~! I had a Great Pyr named Amos, and when I got a second dog, it took weeks to introduce her to Amos. I had to watch very carefully how he reacted to her. BTW she was a rat terrier bought to take care of any mouse problems in the barn and in the chicken coops. Introductions are one thing, acceptance is another. It took a year to get Amos to accept Lucy.

  2. It's like that with our heelers. They are very territorial and my grand children know that when they come. And no one else enters. I know my last heeler bit me on accident when I was trying to open the front door and she was ready to kill the person on the other side. You have to be very carful. I agree with you 100%.

  3. Are you all doing the Great Appalachian Homestead Conference this year? I went in '19. It was so fun and educational. Kids loved it too! Thank you for all the videos!

  4. Good job educating your viewers as well as your new LGD "Inoli". Without the training, she would be a big floofy sweet companion – that would have wasted her genetics!

  5. I hear you on people misjudging dogs that are guard dogs. You walk onto someone's property, to that dog, you are a strange, dangerous human who is posing a possible threat to their master or mistress and encroaching on their territory. Oh, that dog growled at you? You felt threatened? He's doing his job! HE felt threatened. Get that straight right now,, people. Thanks Patara, you're the best.

  6. I don't live in a condo but I do live with potted plants and a 4 pound Yorkie that could teach those guard dogs of yours a thing or two……..Seriously……ain't nobody coming near my property either! LOL! I owned and trained Doberman for years and they were scared to death of this little dude. He's a force to be reckoned with.

  7. I have seen some others put a broody hen in a separate cage just for them. Separate from other hens. They said that hen could turn others broody. That might be an answer for you. Is to give her separate quarters.
