You can't grow plants with out light but mushrooms you can….What can help your plants survive an extended power outage is.. (GravitoBiology) put a copper plate on the roof an put one in the grow room and link a copper wire to both plates. (the suns PAR Radiation will transfer through the copper into the grow room)
I found mites on my annual vinca. Anything I did they would come back. I had to toss them not to spread to anything else.
