  1. Love your channel!. I’ve been a Gardner for decades. And now I’m learning so much from you.
I do not rototill my vegetable garden. I hand dig it with a shovel to just lightly turn it over.A well tended garden space is like a blank artist canvas that I can create a beautiful edible painting on every year. ❤️

  2. Trying some of this spacing in my garden. I don't have raised beds, traditional rows in the ground, but slowly transitioning to no dig. Fighting weeds is for somebody else, I'm too old, LOL.

  3. I think this method is great for raised beds, but maybe not so great for ground garden where weeds grow much easier and you need room to hoe

  4. What changed my life is setting up a watering irrigation system, no more watering which saves me so much time and my plants are thriving from regular watering.

  5. Wish I would have seen this when I planted my bare root strawberries. But I will plant them closer next year when I add more. And I'm just now getting the rest of my garden planted. So I will be planting closer. Thank you

  6. My grandparents never followed the spacing book, my parents never followed the spacing book and I have never followed the spacing book. Max production from limited space has always been the norm. They never roto tilled, always composted right in the garden, and had amazing results year after year.

  7. Love the history lesson. I've been gardening for years and I never questioned spacing. I watched your video harvesting huge beets using high density spacing. I also recall harvesting your peppers from a high density bed. Amazing results. Thanks for thinking outside the box.

  8. Excellent yields there, Luke!! Sometimes you just gotta challenge the common advices out there and see if they are legit. Thanks for sharing your experiences and knowledge man.

  9. I never follow plant spacing. However, sometimes that is a mistake. Broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, etc. I think larger spacing is still better. unless you are growing them for leaves only.

  10. Thank you so much from West of Edmonton Alberta Canada. I just placed my first specialty order from the MIgardener seed store. I was a plesureful shopping experiance. I can't wait for them to get here. Our gaerden is doing great, and I've incorperated a number of the things that you teach on. Well done young man. One of my three thirty year old sons, Has a beautiful garden because of quality sites like yours. Keep it up and blessings to you and your lovely family.

  11. When you plant this way does it force you to water overhead? I worry more about disease with overhead watering so I am wondering what method you use.

  12. I've done vegetable gardening for one year in a new place I moved to and probably broke all rules of plant spacing. I treated my first year as one big experiment and took on the perspective of "what happens if I planted these densely?" I also reasoned that seeds could be planted closely together as long as the plants have enough nutrients within that space. Look at permaculture!–Planting is very dense. Why couldn't vegetable gardening be as well? But how close for each type of plant? I'll continue to experiment and find my own solutions. Questioning the status quo is very important with respect to gardening. Thanks for this informative video!
