  1. Another good video Adam. Sorry I haven't commented lately been doing the same as you in the garden. Putting fresh picked veg straight into the freeze dryer I just bought a few weeks ago. Looks like your getting ready to put a lot up very soon too. Take care be safe.

  2. Shame about the beans and other veg, but your flowers are doing great! Funnily enough, I've grown kniphofia and lupins and a few other perennials for the plot – from seed – this year, but they're still very small and unlikely to flower this year.

  3. Hi Adam, genarally the concensus is the growing season is two weeks behind a normal year that is if you know what a normal year is. Those frosts we got were harsh and on our allotment hit us in pockets. Talking to other plot holders they were all experiencing these pockets in isolated areas. No idea what causes that effect. Shame about the blackbird I find Blackbirds are selective where they build thier nests and watch an area first before building. They dont mind humans infact I think they use us a defence against preditors so keeping away does not fit in with their plan. Good video as usual and take care Mike

  4. Apparently you'll have a banner crop of weeds again this year. Suggestion…next year try your hand at "Romano" climbing beans. A broad flat bean that grows up to @ six feet. They produce pretty heavily. Nice vid bud. You always do a great job. Thanx for posting.

  5. Hi Adam, Always disappointing when crops are not looking too good. It's surprising how better the plot can look after the rows have been weeded and a tonic applied. I understand that Allium leaf miner is a relatively new pest to this country. As far as I know there is no chemical control available to the amateur gardener. Too late now to cover with mesh. Such a pity about the Blackbirds but at least the broad beans look well!
