VIDEO: Complete June Garden Tour!
The garden is finally starting to go crazy! In this episode we will be doing a complete garden tour just as a big storm is rolling in.
Hope you didn't have damage from your storm! Let us know how you are. We are worried!
Hi MiGardener – how do you deal with vine borers and squash bugs on your squash? Yours look great!
My zucchini blasted off this year as well. I was harvesting at over a foot long last week. All without fertilizer/compost. A lot of rain however.
or you could make the rabbit food it would be really good with all those spices mmmmm
You shouldn’t grow potatoes and tomatoes that close to each other. If you get blight you’ll lose them all.
Why not do metal posts and Florida weave for the tomatoes like you had before? I’ve been doing it since I saw your video years ago and it works great.
Glad your garden is doing well. Anything I bought from nursery grown is turning yellow, not producing flowers, not producing vegetables. I’m not alone. Many people having the same problem when they’ve purchased starter plants from large brand nurseries. Everything I planted by seed is thriving. Something is amiss
I have a Jack Russell Terrier and she keeps the rabbits at bay. Of course sometimes she can’t even see them until they move. She’s a great garden companion.
i want to hear your garden update after all this rain is done
I don't understand the furring strip pricing. They're $2.28 for an 8-foot piece on Home Depot's website.
subscribing because i am also a MI gardener lol
How many pounds of potato do you usually get from that bed?
Luke and family are a Godsend! I a finding out everything I thought I knew about gardening was WRONG! LOL! Thank you for what you do Luke. You are a storehouse of crucial information to us beginners. God bless you and your family.
I totally agree that wood prices are crazy. I'm putting off several home/yard improvements because of lumber prices. The only reason I'm even considering adding the 2 new raised beds this year is because I bought excess last year, and I also have lots of reclaimed wood from other projects. Otherwise that would wait till prices go down too.
The storm is coming! xD
Great video, always a pleasure to watch a garden tour
Everything is growing well! Yeah
This is my first year to plant a vegetable garden. I am extremely discouraged. One day I go out, the plants seem to be doing well. Next day they look awful. I have no idea as a new gardener what is wrong, so I just take a shot in the dark with neem oil, watering, fertilizing or whatever. They have rebounded several times, but now they look horrible again. Some leaves are curling and brown, some plants are getting eaten again, some have what I think is powdery mildew. Some seem to hate being trellised. Every time I go out to my garden I come in with several bites on me. I spent a ton of money getting this garden going and feel like I wasted my money. I feel like there are so many issues going on at the same time that there is no way for me to figure out what to do. I've learned a lot from watching YouTube, but like I say, there seem to be several problems all at once and I can't figure out what the problems are. Any advise for the gardener who is tired of getting bit everyday and tired of battling mysterious bugs and diseases? I've never been good at growing things. Now I am more convinced that some people have a green thumb and some just don't.
Use bamboo sticks from lowes they cost $10
Why not use electrical metal conduit or Tposts for your tomatoes? They won't break and will last for many years. Cheaper now and over time.
I need a few more strips for my tomatoes too and I’m dreading buying them
Luke! My tomatoes are SOOOO curled. Mostly the Beefsteak, I am in Tennessee. It has been in the 90's pretty consistently. What do you think it could be?
My garden look better
you look like an old nerd ya nerd
Luke buy a 2×4 and then use a table saw to cut them into either 1x1s or 2x2s. I did it with 10’ 2x4s and get 8ea 1x1s out of one $6 board
Had a baby bunny living in my garden also… I have way too much (planted very closely) and he/she used to just move around and nibble on the radicchio and lettuces. Didnt eat much. Then one day it was gone (I think it went looking for a 'friend'). Love the channel btw.
I had to laugh at you twisting off that zucchini instead of cutting it. Is this a do as I say not as I do moment?
Hi. I was wondering if your Oregano is a perennial for you? I live a half hour past Mt.Pleasant Mich and am trying to figure out which Herbs can survive our winters. Thank you for sharing your garden it's amazing.
