Hot, that’s what this weeks farmstand was. We had a heat wave that was so hot, we canceled our Farmers Market spot for the week, and decided to do the easier version by setting up our roadside farmstand and selling our veggies and flowers there. The cucumbers were in abundance, there was a forest fire across the valley, temperature reached 44 degrees celsius, and our daughter had her birthday, which all together made for a memorable week. Also, we finally reveal Serina’s secret mural that she painted this week, it looks so good and it turned out perfect!

You guys should get some outdoor misting fans.
yall are gonna love that walk in cooler!! I built one to start for hanging deer, elk and antelope during hunting season. but it works great as a seed starting room with grow lights to get my wifes veggies started before the spring. and tree seedlings and such. has also been used to start baby chickens till they are ready to go outside. you will find all sorts of uses for it when its done :}
suggestion: you guys could just each keep a "clicker counter" on you when you do the farm stand and use that to track the number of sales you had to get a better grasp it. no need to remember the number off hand

Do you have any local area garage sale group's. Helps to advertise there to direct customers to your location that might not drive by your place normally. Maybe create a group for your regular client's and other growers to join.

So, in Dallas/Ft Worth TX, that's a normal summer day temp on a hot year …but its rained the first 4 months of this year, and we haven't seen 100 yet. Yall are cooking and we are having a temperate summer….temperate year, really. Seems kinda odd
Beautiful scenes of your Farm and Stand for selling vegetables and bouquets of flowers. The paper wrapping is nice. Another idea is to have the name of your Farm printed on the papers with some of the names of flowers and vegetables.
Balloons to mark your spot are another thing you can use to bring attention to your stand. It is a very nice size and idea!

Build a better Arbor for your stand. keep going you're doing a good job!
You'll have less overhead if you sell directly to your consumer from your property. Forget about going to farmer's stands. If you build a better structure possibly some better parking. And set up the stand daily(Mon to Sat)! You will make more money than going to a farmer stand once a week. 1.Give tours of the farm. 2. build things for families to do.
$300 a day × times 6 = $1800.00 a week…
May I provide a suggestion? I know you;ve already painted the wall? But if you print the wall with your farm's name, logo, phone number, email or website, each time u go in there, you record it so customers can order flowers or veggies from you. Coz when you have these info in each video, potential customers need not search for it, you know? Creates potential sales, and thus profits too for your family.

Yes, a big bold lettered FARM STALL sign, and I agree with Serena: have a set float amount and then count the money afterwards. That's pretty standard 🙂 Have you guys thought about letting people put their contacts down at the farm stall for if they want future orders of flowers or veg? Or perhaps starting a monthly order for your customers? Like a CSA.
