This week we shatter our record for sales at the farmers market, thanks to an abundance of flowers like zinnias and sunflowers, as well as veggies like zucchini and cucumber. Serina is recovering from some discomfort, and our skies are smokey which doesn’t help, but by Thursday she is feeling good enough to harvest some cosmos, and before the market, she arranges over $500 worth of flower bouquets. All the customers at the farmers market loved the bouquets, and bought flowers till we sold through everything [except some white bouquets and sunflower bunches]. This week definitely had it’s ups and downs, its hard to see Serina feeling in poor health, but having the best market sales ever definitely feels great!
These vlogs are special for us, I never thought we could tell our story as well as we have been able to, making these high quality harvest/market vlogs. We are coming up to our 4th year anniversary of making YouTube videos, and when we started, I was a guy in his mid 30’s, having worked forestry my whole adult life, with two young kids and a happy wife, happy life, but to see where I am now, with a platform that reaches across the world, where I can make my stupid jokes, and Serina can get all her words out and talk about seeds for all eternity, it’s pretty remarkable. I really appreciate all those who watch our videos and follow through with our personal mission, of supporting local sustainable agriculture, and learning to grow your own food.

Quick question, where did you get your black crates? Love the videos!!
Your flowers are spectacular!!
Congratulation on a hundred thousand subscribers holy sweet Jesus that happened like overnight are you guys going to a giveaway or a video celebrating your thousand 100,000 Subs
Yay!
Wishing you both and all of the communities and wildlife affected by the fires the very best and rain!
I wish I lived near you- I would buy all the veggies and bouquets! Also I hope the heat and fires are a reminder to everyone to limit your carbon emissions and plastic use 🙂
Speaking of smoke. In my area, whatever recent rain that does fall is more like a polluted compost tea color. The only bright side to those fires will be less fuel to burn in future times.
Serena you make beautiful boutiques. What do you guys do with the left over boutiques?
Thinking of you guys! We have been dealing with a little bit of the smoke in Western NC but I'm sure nothing like y'all! Stay hydrated and safe. Also, we notice cooling masks or towels help a lot.
I thought you were selling from your stand at your house?
Meanwhile in Texas we have been drowning. Climate change is here
I hope people who don't garden or farm watch your videos so they may see the SUPER hard work it takes to bring food to market. You're the two hardest working people in Canada!
Be safe you guys! i hope it rains soon
You should harvest the cherries for the market also
Wonderful~謝謝~♡♡♡♡
I live in Northern California where there's wildfires all the time, and make sure you have a HEPA air filter inside even if it's a dinky one that you move from bedroom to living room and back again. And of course, where a mask when you're outside. The smoke stress doesn't hit you all at once, it's this cumulative affect that eventually kicks your butt.
Congratulations on the Best Market Ever! PS i would have bought the white bouquets
Beautiful flower bouquets. Love them.
Why dont u make jams n sell it …the fruits
The white boquets are so beautiful, why didn't anyone buy them? They're absolutely GORGEOUSSS!!
Very beautiful flowers, it is a wonderful enjoyment to do what you like.
The flowers look lovely! But why wouldn't you sell those gorgeous apricots? You've got so many and I'm sure they'd sell well
Why don't you guys sell the cherries apricots at the market most people don't grow those
How hard could it be to go market 3 times a week all the flowers and veggies that go to food bank could be profit for the farm
That why the cooler is so important
Serena you did amazing on the bouquets this market!!
