  1. I had cut up half of an onion and then threw the other half in the fridge and promptly forgot about it…well, it sprouted! Debating throwing it in a pot and just seeing what happens

  2. My onions have been very small the last couple of years. I do put leaves, sheep and chicken manure on my garden. But they still aren't growing very big.

  3. First time I have seen leek moth. Read do not plant alliums on same spot. Too late so will have to wait until next year as I have planted onion sets and garlic where leek were. Any suggedtions?

  4. resurrecting this comments section:
This weekends task is to plant out sets into my SFG raised bed. Clear plastic pop bottles cut in half will create their own individual miniature green houses until the late frosts have passed.
It will be March next weekend, spring onions, welsh onions, garlic, parsnips and carrots are going to have a session too.
I really should be starting the companion plants too. Nasturtiums, dill, parsley and marigolds.
