Would you share recipes and how-to’s for cooking greens? I have no idea how to cook greens but I’d love to learn. What an amazing helper you have ❤️❤️
Ben is so adorable gardener/farmer. You're a great mommy , Jess!
Cleaning out my garden today I found some fun volunteer, mainly lettuce and cilantro that I was hoping would self seed!
When you're seeding a fresh bed, how do you prevent the soil from crusting over?
Ben is such a wonderful helper and I love his enthusiasm.
Ben is the cutest garden assistant ❤️
Sweet M needs to make you an outside kitchen too. 🙂
It is so refreshing to see Ben’s passion for the garden. I teach at an alternative school in Tillamook, Oregon near the Oregon State University (OSU) Extension. Our small school has a garden, which we are developing with students. We also share our building with preschoolers! Our teen students will be working with preschoolers in the garden! Thank you for giving me more ideas!
Ben is such a treasure. I love seeing you together.
This kid's already done more gardening than me. Good job kiddo.
You are such a sweet mama much like my wife. Seeing you and Ben on this video was amazing.
good to see Ben planting seeds.
Good job Ben! H good job Jess for being such a good teacher!
I'm the same way! When my husband gets off work to watch the kids I always think "I have __ hours until it gets dark, I can do this & this" &then I'm like "Wait- I have to cook"
Because most your garden tools that you still have to bring, go to your local convenient store buy that candy that is a large candy diamond on a ring. I use to use those minus the candy, as a template for seeds. I would dip the Plastic part in the soil not the ring part and worked perfectly for seeds. Your little man may like that too.
Love your videos Jess!
I just watched your episode about planning your little house garden, and wanted to let you know that another idea for a small garden is to use kiddie pools. They're dirt cheap like $7 or so at Walmart, you punch a few holes in the bottom for drainage, fill with dirt or potting soil and plant your seeds. For those who want it raised a bit, I'm thinking of using pallets underneath.
Watching you plant the garden with that precious child just made my heart squeeze up. I miss those days so much. Thank you for sharing your life with us.
You are so right about taking the time to teach your children as you go. My mother could not be bothered and it took me years to learn the basics. Your children will benefit hugely from the time investment you give them.
So cute to see you both gardening. Planting is the most exciting time except for harvesting. Lol.
Will you cover the Towers and beds of lettuce when the frost comes? And take off the cover when the sun comes up on them?
You are inspiring me. Thanks!
Love seeds, way more seeds than space to plant, I use the excuse I need them incase someone else didn't get any lol… yes I'm addicted to picking up seeds whenever I see them in the stores, just incase !
