  1. Diva is my daughter's approved $ saving purchase.
Watch dates on Egg noodles & the Whole wheat pasta, expires sooner than white flours.
I enjoy the convenience, but more importantly the shelf stable longevity of cream of soups. If ever a time without power, I'll have options. I also store powdered items.
Great haul! Happy Thanksgiving again everyone!

  2. You are an inspiration! This "old dog" is definitely learning new tricks from the young women currently homesteading full time or in concert with their day jobs/professions. Thank you for your positive energy output Ms. Becky. Keep on keepin' on! Happy Thanksgiving.

  3. Oh Becky, just saw the heated blanket comment from my fellow Canuck – they are worth their weight in gold. Also, try an electric mattress pad. Heats you from the bottom up. Most have dual controls & more wiring down around the feet. Toasty.

  4. I've been using a Diva Cup exclusively for more than 15 years, and it's great. Comfortable, never leaks, not messy, and so much more convenient than any other option I tried. It's wonderful for travel and camping, and I've saved SO much money. The first time putting it in was scary, but after that it's easy. I love that I've had 15+ years of zero-waste period care.

  5. I just got the same ginger tea with my Azure pick up this month!
This might be TMI but I use cloth pads, I love them. I've saved so much money and not putting disposable pads in landfills anymore. But I know some are pad girls and other are tampon girls, so its not for everyone

  6. English here, thanks for explaining about the cider. Also, I’m a grower and coriander (cilantro) is a cool weather herb. So early spring or fall. You can try and grow it in the shade. But it is lay only grows best in cool weather.

  7. I'm the same with thyme I have it in the garden all year round but sometimes you just want dried and we call (Australia)cider cloudy apple juice and hard cider is just cider love your content

  8. Random comment about soda stream: tea infusions in soda water is absolutely amazing… My favourites are Strawberry and Mango, Pineapple and Peach, Watermellon… Granted we are heading into summer.

  9. I love my heated blanket! So worth the investment.

I really loved this haul. You go slowly enough and explain why you bought stuff which I appreciate. Also your TMIs are funny and cute.

  10. I was aware of the UK/US difference between cider and hard cider, but good of you to clarify for those that don't. But yes, in the UK, if you say cider, it is a fermented apple drink that is alcoholic. For unfiltered apple juice, we tend to refer to that as 'cloudy' apple, and the clear filtered stuff as… well, apple juice lol.

The other thing that may confuse some of your viewers is that in the UK, noodles are the long thin variety that is generally associated with asian dishes, such as udon or mein, and can be made of wheat or rice. What you called noodles in your video we call pasta.

  11. Garofalo is the best pasta, only one I buy for the last 2 years. Glad you explained why apple juice is called cider and cider is called hard cider. Next thing I need to know is what is half and half? We don't get that here. I'm guessing half milk half cream?

  12. Hi Becky – just love your channel and content. You are so much like me it's ridiculous! I have 24 yrs. on you, so I cannot and do not accomplish what you do these days, but your videos motivate me to do more than I have been!

Just wanted to say, I had a fur baby with epilepsy (he's passed from old age last year), but anyway, he developed it when he was 1 and he lived to be 2 weeks short of 13 (best guess because he was a rescue). I had to give him medication 2 X per day precisely every 12 hours. Once we got his seizures under control and his medication at the therapeutic level (within a month of the first seizure). He never had one that I'm aware of again. That's 11+ yrs and he was a big boy (German Shepherd).

I started giving him his meds with peanut butter, but the day it got stuck to the roof of his mouth with the pill, was the last day he would take peanut butter. I had to become very creative and some other things that work are: cream cheese, liver sausage and hot dogs. I wasn't crazy about giving him processed food bites 2 X a day, so I started making 'mush'; which was lean ground beef or pork (cooked) and ground in the food processor with either cooked carrots, peas or green beans. This makes a somewhat wet and moldable consistency. It freezes really well too. Just thought that I'd share this information with you. Please know that your little friend can live a seizure free life as long as you are diligent about not going over 12 hours between doses as anit-seizure medication doesn't have a half life. Happy Thanksgiving and many thanks again for your channel, content and simply being adorable you!!

  13. My dog had to take daily meds for seizures and the only way I could get him to take the pills was if I hid them in small chunks of hotdogs. I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this, it’s awful watching them go through it. ❤️
