  1. Becky, I want to ask you about refreshing previously frozen meat…do you thaw out your ground beef to make meatloaf and then refreeze them raw? How does that effect the end product?

  2. My husband and I were just watching this video and both thought about if you did a chart where you kept inventory that way you’d know at all times what you have on hand and what you were low on. Have you considered this? I love your organization and thought this would be a helpful tip for you with your organization.

  3. I love your videos!! Doesn’t it feel so great when you tackle a task like this? Every time you grab something you will just smile knowing how easy it was to grab that and go

  4. I make porcupine balls with sage or spicy sausage and liver or I deepfry liver slices, after a buttermilk bath, then dipped in egg, season salt and panko breadcrumbs. Not a huge liver by itself fan, but deep fried it's good, and mixed in with sausage it's a healthy bulk and great supplemental source of iron.

  5. You should try dehydrating the liver and putting it in capsules for you and Josh!! There are so many benefits to eating liver and buying capsules is soo expensive!

  6. We love the flavor and texture of home canned chicken. That’s how I store at least half of our meat birds. Delish. Not fond of home canned beef though, because of texture. I might cry actual tears if you do that to your beautiful beef. 😉

  7. Love your organization and thank you for all the hard work you put in…not just to your videos. But in my house, someone would come in, dig around like a dog looking for a bone, and completely mess up my whole year looking for that special frozen item. They drive me nutz. I'm very glad your family members respect all your immense effort to be organized.

  8. When it was time to purchase a freezer, I opted for an upright. I now have 2 large uprights and so happy because I don't have to dig down. The light inside illuminates the whole freezer and way easier to find what I need. I keep my newest and bigger freezer for all the meat. The other one has mostly prepared foods and extra bags of berries, flour, bread, butter, beef tallow, lard, etc. 🙂

  9. Have seen others say that they use their freeze dryer to get food out of the freezer and onto the shelf to make room. Saw someone say that they got rid of 2 freezers this way. Would be interesting to see something like this.

  10. Hey Becky, I thought it might give you a little smile to know that when my 1 Year old hears your voice she immediately comes over and sits down to watch your videos with me. She loves when you show your chickens.

  11. Ask your home insurance provider if there is coverage for frozen food in your home policy. It is fairly standard to have a limit automatically included but if there isn't it may be worth asking for it to be added on! 🙂

  12. I love pc meat. Its will stay in the chunk shape but is easy to shred if you want. I do my chicken with just salt but I add a slice of onion to my beef. I've done raw pack stew but just started on soups. Soup and cornbread is a quick dinner. I also did ham and white beans, yum. I've been canning for a lot of years but I got a Carey electric pc and I like being able to do the smaller batches. I totally love how real you are. It's so nice to see someone who is human and not edited to be perfect. Keep up the great work.

  13. hello I have a tip. When ever i use a lemon, orange, limes or any other citrus , i zest it first and i put the zest in a bag and i put it in the freezer and then I am never short handed and i dont have to pay for it. also , having nothing to do with food, I take all of my xmas cards that I receive or ones i am never going to use and I cut them up for tags for my presents. I hope this helps someone!!
