Thank you for finding a way to get the message out to us all. I knew that you escaped being thrown into solitary, but I was afraid that you were shackled and chained to the field cabin. Ancestral stories of escaping enslavement and persecution have been lost through the generations, as well as losing a daily living faith in God, which has put us where we are today. Unless you are full blooded Native American, you have ancestors who immigrated here to escape negative experiences. If you have any Native American blood in you, those experiences are here. My family escaped from Russia, Ireland/Scotland, and slavery on my greatx3 uncle's tobacco farm in Kentucky. Believe me, the stories are kept alive from one generation to another as a protection and as a lesson in gratitude.

Although I had hoped that the "snake " you speak of would be good for the country , I sensed early on that the seeming worship of him by many and the vile hatred of him by others was too extreme either way . I had hope but I never fell into the trap completely. I knew we were on a road of no return . It has been difficult for sure . Your calming voice and truth speak is making a difference .
Preach it, Sister, we can't live our lives in yesterday, but we can all learn from yesterday. Don't keep looking back to negative things but learn from them. If we put our faith in man, we're doomed to failure and hurt. Learn to be as independent and self sufficient as you can be. I am 75 and when in high school, I remember my mother telling me not to depend on a man to make my living, learn a needed trade and if you make a good hand, you'll never be without a job and that's served me well through the years. Husband (a really good person) and I have been married for 53 plus years, lived in 4 houses. Can count on one hand how many jobs I've held, retired 9 yrs ago after working 25 yrs in Ia state prison. I always considered myself as boring, but others see me, and have told me I am a contented person. The Lord has given me that. Life's not always easy and smooth sailing but with God's help, do for yourself and you can make it smoother and calmer waters. That doesn't mean you isolate from others, just do for yourself as much as possible.

It is definitely time for 'adults' to grow up and stop looking for a mommy or a daddy to take care of them. I agree that we are at a crossroads and we need to act with seven generations from now in mind. Our actions will determine their world…or, even if they will have a life. This is a time of existential crisis.
