VIDEO: Bottom Watering System for Growing Microgreens DIY | Self Watering Kale Microgreens


Its easy to make your own self watering system for growing microgreens. In this video I’ll show you how to take wicking rope and food take out containers to create a bottom watering system to grow microgreens. I planted Red Russian Kale in these containers and they came out beautifully!

  1. Another excellent video, thanks! I've recently been experimenting with those take-out trays, but instead of wicking rope, I just thread paper towels through slits in the lids and use no soil at all! So far it has been working quite well.

  3. Thank you for the video, Tikki. I wonder if you could use just the paper towels without the soil, and the wick rope would keep the paper towels wet.
